Humility Before Honor

Proud people will be ruined,
but the humble will be honored.
Proverbs 18:12 (NCV)

All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time (1 Peter 5:5-6, NIV). Let us not think more highly of ourselves than we ought to, our promotion comes from the LORD.
