In His Time
Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NASB1995) says: He has made everything appropriate in its time. Everything that we experienced in 2022 may not have appeared beautiful to us, with our limited human perspective. But we can know in our hearts that it was appropriate because it happened according to the time set by our heavenly Father, Who had all our days written in His book, before we drew a single breath. (See Psalm 139:16) For now, all that we know is partial and incomplete. (See 1 Corinthians 13:12 NLT)
This year may not have brought all that you had hoped for, but remember that everything happens at His appointed time. After years of barrenness, at the appointed time Sarah bore a son (See Genesis 18:14). Joseph was betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, and put into prison. But Genesis 39:21 says: the LORD was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor… Eventually, at God’s appointed time, the Pharaoh set Joseph over all the land of Egypt. Whatever season of life you are in, our great God is with you and in due season, He works all things together for good. Let us praise and give thanks to YAHWEH for faithfully bringing us through another year. His lovingkindness is everlasting and His faithfulness extends to every generation.
