Consider Jesus

Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession;Hebrews 3:1 (NASB1995)

He was despised and rejected—  a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief.
We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. (Isaiah 53:3-5 NLT) None of our troubles and trials can compare to the sacrifice our loving Savior made for us.

Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. (Philippians 2:8 NASB1995) You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin; (Hebrews 12:4) Isaiah 53:7 (NKJV) says: He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; May we do all things without complaining and disputing, or questioning the providence of God. (See Philippians 2:14 NKJV/AMP) Just as Jesus was faithful to Him who appointed Him, may we be faithful to fulfill the call God has on our lives. (See Hebrews 3:2)

For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. —Hebrews 12:3 (NASB1995)
