Stand Firm
And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.” —Luke 22:31-32 (NKJV)
Just as Jesus prayed for Simon, I pray for followers of Christ today. No matter how chaotic current world events may get, may our faith not fail. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. (1 Peter 5:8 NKJV) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:1-2 NKJV)
In conclusion, my brethren, be strong in the Lord [draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him] and in the power of His [boundless] might. Stand firm in the faith. (See Ephesians 6:10 & 1 Corinthians 16:13) Amen.
