Rely on GOD

“We think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, about the trouble we went through in the province of Asia. We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it. In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead. —2 Corinthians 1:8-9 (NLT)

Others may not know the troubles you are going through, but GOD is well aware. He is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. And He comforts us in all our troubles… (See 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NLT) The Word encourages us to stop relying on ourselves and learn to rely on GOD alone. Today, cast your concerns and cares upon the LORD and trust Him to handle every situation that confronts you. Patiently endure hardship and keep the faith. Be confident that He will deliver you from ALL your troubles (See Psalms 34:17). And as 2 Corinthians 1:10 says, He will continue to rescue you.

Patient Endurance

“ So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. ” — Hebrews 10:35-36 (NLT) Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. (Hebrews 10:23) Hebrews 10:37-38 (NLT)  says: “For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay. And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.” But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved.” (Hebrews 10:39 NLT) We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need.
