Live to Please GOD

Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught you. You live this way already, and we encourage you to do so even more. —1 Thessalonians 4:1 (NLT)

For we speak as messengers approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News. Our purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts. (1 Thessalonians 2:4 NLT) Realize that it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure. (See Philippians 2:13 AMP) With God all things are possible. Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God. (See 1 Peter 5:6)

For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. If you serve Christ with this attitude, you will please God, and others will approve of you, too. (Romans 14:17-18 NLT) Ecclesiastes 2:26 (NLT) says: God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy to those who please him. Let us continually strive to please Him in all we do and say.

Patient Endurance

“ So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. ” — Hebrews 10:35-36 (NLT) Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. (Hebrews 10:23) Hebrews 10:37-38 (NLT)  says: “For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay. And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.” But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved.” (Hebrews 10:39 NLT) We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. Don't Drift

“So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it.” — Hebrews 2:1 (NLT) Don’t drift away from the truth, God’s Word. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
