Find Rest

Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. —Psalm 62:5-6 (NIV)

Put your hope in the LORD, now and forevermore, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption (Psalm 130:7; 131:3). Find rest for your soul, in God alone. Those who hope in the living God will not be disappointed (Isaiah 49:23). Rest securely, in the arms of our heavenly Father, knowing that your hope will not be cut off (Proverbs 23:18). Be strong and take heart. The LORD will renew your strength.

Then, apply it to our daily lives by actually doing what it says. Great peace have those who love the law of the LORD, and nothing causes them to stumble. (See Psalms 119:143 NLT) Psalms 78:8 (NKJV) says, its a stubborn and rebellious generation, that did not set its heart aright, and whose spirit was not faithful to God. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” Our joy is not to be based on the fluctuating circumstances of our lives. We experience fullness of joy in the Presence of Yahweh and He is always with us. No matter what season of life you are going through, have continual and contagious joy. Let your joy overflow and spill out onto those around you.
