Compel Them to Come

Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. —Luke 14:23 (NKJV)

Jesus was sent to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. He was sent to tell those who mourn that the time of the LORD’s favor has come…(Isaiah 61:1-2 NLT). There are many lives yet to be saved. There are many who need to be touched with the love of God. There are so many who need to know He cares. Let us be compelled to share the good news and invite the lost and hurting into God's family.

For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach statutes and ordinances in Israel. — Ezra 7:10 (NKJV) May we prepare our hearts and set our minds to diligently read and study the Word of God. Then, apply it to our daily lives by actually doing what it says. Great peace have those who love the law of the LORD, and nothing causes them to stumble. (See Psalms 119:165 NKJV) As pressure and stress bear down on you, find joy in His commands. (See Psalms 119:143 NLT) Psalms 78:8 (NKJV) says, its a stubborn and rebellious generation, that did not set its heart aright, and whose spirit was not faithful to God. Blessed and favored by God are those who keep His testimonies, and who [consistently] seek Him and long for Him with all their heart. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” Our joy is not to be based on the fluctuating circumstances of our lives. We experience fullness of joy in the Presence of Yahweh and He is always with us. No matter what season of life you are going through, have continual and contagious joy. Let your joy overflow and spill out onto those around you.
