He Provides

And Abraham called the name of the place, The-LORD-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the LORD it shall be provided.” —Genesis 22:14 (NKJV)

Just as God provided a ram for Abraham to sacrifice instead of his son, He provided for His people in their 40 years of desert wandering. Our heavenly Father continues to provide for His people today. Wherever He leads you, know that He will provide. ...God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19 NASB). For the LORD God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, how blessed is the man who trusts in You! (Psalm 84:11-12).

I love this story. Abraham by faith gave his son Isaac and God provided a scapegoat, the ram. Years later on that same Mountain God gave his own son, our scapegoat and he provided a way for us. I love the way the Old Testament and the New Testament intermingle together. Thank you Jackie for reminding me of all that he has provided for me through Jesus.
