The Light of Life
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” —John 8:12 (NIV)
The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. (John 1:4 NLT) Whoever follows Jesus will never walk in darkness. The life of the godly is full of light and joy (See Proverbs 13:9 NLT). However, there are those who rebel against the light; They do not know its ways nor abide in its paths. (See Job 24:13 NKJV) May we have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness. (See Ephesians 5:11 NKJV) For we were once darkness, but now we are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. (See Ephesians 5:8 NKJV) If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight were filling you with light.” (Luke 11:36 NLT) For you have rescued me from death; you have kept my feet from slipping. So now I can walk in your presence, O God, in your life-giving light. (Psalm 56:13 NLT)
Give thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light. For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, (See Colossians 1:12-13 NASB1995).
