Have Hope & Confidence
For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope and overflow with confidence in His promises. —Romans 15:4 (AMP)
Find encouragement in the Holy Scriptures. God’s Word stands forever. He watches over His Word, and it does not return to Him void. He is faithful to fulfill every word He has spoken. Here a just a few encouraging Scriptures:
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1 NASB1995) This assures us that no matter what we go through, our great God is with us. In Isaiah 43:2 (NLT), He says: “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” He makes a way for each one of us.
I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. (Psalm 27:13 NKJV) Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence. (Ephesians 3:12 NLT) So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. (Hebrews 10:35-36 NLT)
