Stand in Faith

In those days Hezekiah became mortally ill. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him and said to him, “Thus says the LORD, ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.’” Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD,Isaiah 38:1-2 (NASB1995)

When King Hezekiah received the bad news of his impending death, he turned his back to the world, wept bitterly and prayed to God. Yahweh saw his tears and heard his prayer, and added 15 years to Hezekiah’s life. Habakkuk 2:4 (NASB1995) says, the righteous will live by his faith. In the midst of dark valleys, the faithful can see the light of hope shining through.

When faced with adverse situations, there may be some things or some people you need to turn your back on. Look to the LORD, and stand on His Word. Instead of letting fear and anxiety bombard your mind and heart, continue to believe. Trust God and know that He is with you. In Luke 18, Yeshua told a parable to show that at all times we ought to pray and not to lose heart. Whatever you may be going through, look at the situation with eyes of faith, believe in your heart in the goodness of God and the unfailing love He has for you. And pray without ceasing; (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
