He Teaches Us

This is what the LORD says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow. Oh, that you had listened to my commands! Then you would have had peace flowing like a gentle river and righteousness rolling over you like waves in the sea.” —Isaiah 48:17-18 (NLT)

May we turn a deaf ear to the voices of this world and listen to the still small voice of Yahweh. He teaches us what is good for us. For the LORD is God, and he created the heavens and earth and put everything in place. He made the world to be lived in, not to be a place of empty chaos. “I am the LORD,” he says, “and there is no other.” (Isaiah 45:18 NLT) He speaks only what is true and declares only what is right. He will never go back on His word. (See Isaiah 45:19 & 23)
