How Do You Know?

Look here, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit.” How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. —James 4:13-14 (NLT)

What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.” Otherwise you are boasting about your own pretentious plans, and all such boasting is evil. (James 4:15-16 NLT) Commit your way to Yahweh, trust in Him, and He will do it. (Psalms 37:5 LSB) He will show you the path of life. (See Psalms 16:11 NKJV) Seek Yahweh and humbly submit to His will. He knows the plans He has for you. (See Jeremiah 29:11)

Patient Endurance

But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.” But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction.
