Be Transformed

And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]. —Romans 12:2 (AMP)

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, and stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you. Instead, let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes. (See Romans 12:2 NLT & TPT) As followers of Christ and children of light let us become imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father]; (See Ephesians 5:1 AMP)

Be Strong & Courageous

“Be strong and courageous, do not fear or be dismayed because of the king of Assyria nor because of all the horde that is with him; for the one with us is greater than the one with him. With him is only an arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people relied on the words of Hezekiah king of Judah. — 2 Chronicles 32:8 (NASB1995) Fear not! Be strong and courageous when the enemy comes against you. Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you. Our adversary, the devil, continually prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. (See 1 Peter 5:8) Today, we too have Yahweh on our side, to help us. And He has already provided victory for us through His Son, Yeshua, the Messiah, our mighty Saviour! Despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
