Where is Your Confidence?

Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there. When they breathe their last, they return to the earth, and all their plans die with them.Psalms 146:3-4 (NLT)

“But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit. (Jeremiah 17: 7-8 NLT) It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in people. (Psalms 118:8 NLT)

May we place no confidence in the flesh, nor in what we have, nor who we are (the titles we wear). But let us be confident in Yahweh, for His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. He rules throughout all generations. The LORD always keeps his promises; He is gracious in all he does. (See Psalms 145:13 NLT) The LORD is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His deeds. The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. (Psalms 145:17-18 NASB1995) Be confident that the LORD will work out His plans for your life— for His faithful love endures forever. (See Psalms 138:8 NLT) And His plans for us are good.
