Perfect Peace
“Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]” —John 14:27 (AMP)
Yeshua told His disciples that here on earth, we will have many trials and sorrows. (See John 16:33 NLT) So don’t be surprised when the fiery ordeals come. However, in John 14:1 (NASB1995), He also says: “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.” We can remain calm and be courageous when confronted with the temporary challenges of this world because Jesus has overcome the world. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 NLT)
“You will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You—in both inclination and character], because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation]. —Isaiah 26:3 (AMP)
