Armed with Strength
In 1 Samuel 30:3-4, David and his men came to the city, and it was burned with fire, and their wives and their sons and daughters had been taken captive. David and the people who were with him lifted their voices and wept until there was no strength in them to weep. But 1 Samuel 30:6 (NLT) says, David found strength in the LORD his God. In Psalms 18:6 (LSB), David said: In my distress I called upon Yahweh, and cried to my God for help; He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry for help before Him came into His ears. When you are distressed and in the midst of adverse circumstances, call upon Yahweh for help. He arms us with strength to stand strong through the troubles and challenges that come our way.
…“I love You, O Yahweh, my strength.” Yahweh is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon Yahweh, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. (Psalms 18:1-3 LSB)
