The Greatest

“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” —1 Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV)

Now there remains, faith, an abiding trust in God and His promises. We have hope, the confident expectation of eternal salvation, and love, an unselfish love for others growing out of God’s love for us. But of these three, the Holy Scriptures say, the greatest of these is love. (See 1 Corinthians 13:13 AMP)

Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; (1 Corinthians 13:4-6 NASB1995) Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening].  (1 Corinthians 13:7 AMP)

In John 13:35, Yeshua said to His disciples: “By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” Let us continually strive to walk in love. May the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another, and for all people... (See 1 Thessalonians 3:12 NASB1995)

Don't Drift

“So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it.” — Hebrews 2:1 (NLT) Don’t drift away from the truth, God’s Word. Patient Endurance

“ So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. ” — Hebrews 10:35-36 (NLT) Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. (Hebrews 10:23) Hebrews 10:37-38 (NLT)  says: “For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay. And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.” But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction.
