Where Is Your Storehouse?
“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.” —Matthew 6:19-21 (NLT)
Evil people may have piles of money and may store away mounds of clothing, but what hope do the godless have when God cuts them off and takes away their life? (See Job 27:16 & 27:8 NLT) Continually striving to gain satisfaction or security by acquiring material possessions leads to stress and anxiety. Seek the Kingdom of God (on a daily basis), above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. (See Matthew 6:33 NLT)
“He who leans on and trusts in and is confident in his riches will fall, but the righteous [who trust in God’s provision] will flourish like a green leaf.”—Proverbs 11:28 (AMP)
