Cry Out

Image
When he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Many were sternly telling him to be quiet, but he kept crying out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” — Mark 10:47-48 (NASB1995) The crowd told the blind beggar named Bartimaeus, to be quiet, but he cried out all the more. Because he ignored the crowd and continued to call on Jesus, he regained his sight, and began following Jesus on the road. (See Mark 10:52) When those around you try to dissuade you from crying out to Jesus, ignore them. It's okay if your loud faith makes others uncomfortable. Continue to call on His name, continue to speak the Word of God and keep on believing. For Jesus said to Bartimaeus, “Go; your faith has made you well.” And once you receive from the Lord, be like Bartimaeus and continue to follow Jesus.

Dwell on These Things

Image
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. — Philippians 4:8 (NASB1995) What we let our minds dwell on, is very important. Romans 12:2 tells us to be transformed by the renewing of your mind. What fills our mind will eventually fill our heart and then come out of our mouth. Philippians 4:8 (AMP) says: …if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart]. In Yeshua, we have plenty of praiseworthy things that can fill our minds. Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. — Philippians 4:8 (MSG)

Where is Your Treasure?

Image
Some people store up treasures in their homes here on earth. This is a shortsighted practice—don’t undertake it. Moths and rust will eat up any treasure you may store here. Thieves may break into your homes and steal your precious trinkets. Instead, put up your treasures in heaven where moths do not attack, where rust does not corrode, and where thieves are barred at the door. — Matthew 6:19-20 (VOICE) Our culture tends to be of the gathering and collective nature. The proliferation of storage businesses serve as clear evidence. We store up all kinds of things. Some are attracted to glittery, shiny things and others are into loud and fast-moving things. Some stockpile money, gold, silver, coins, etc. However, money cannot buy the things that are the most valuable. May we treasure the glorious Presence of God-with-Us (Immanuel) more than anything. He is our constant Companion, our Savior & Lord, our Healer, our Guide and Teacher, etc. May we treasure loving God, loving His Word, an...

Peace & Thankfulness

Image
Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always]. —Colossians 3:15 (AMP) Don’t be anxious about things; instead, pray. Pray about everything. He longs to hear your requests, so talk to God about your needs and be thankful for what has come. And know that the peace of God (a peace that is beyond any and all of our human understanding) will stand watch over your hearts and minds in Jesus, the Anointed One. (Philippians 4:6-7 VOICE) We can remain in peace knowing that His Presence is with us. And we can continually give thanks for His goodness, grace and faithfulness.  Now may the Lord of peace Himself continually grant you peace in every circumstance. The Lord be with you all! — 2 Thessalonians 3:16  (NASB1995)

At Home

Image
we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.   — 2 Corinthians 5:8 (NASB1995) Yesterday, my ninety-one year old mother, went to her real home with the Lord. He has  wiped away every tear from her eyes, and released her from a tired body racked with pain and suffering. I’m sure she heard the words: “ Well done, thou good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord .” Today, I am reminded of the words Yeshua spoke to Martha in John 11:25: “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies,” Precious [and of great consequence] in the sight of the LORD is the death of His godly ones [so He watches over them]. (Psalms 116:15 AMP) The Spirit of God has made us, and the breath of the Almighty gives us life. (See Job 33:4) We are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.” (See James 4:14) But HOW we live matters, live well and close to our Heave...

Peace & Trust

Image
You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the LORD forever, for in Yah, the LORD, is everlasting strength. — Isaiah 26:3-4 (NKJV) When we totally trust God, we are able to abide in peace. Yahweh will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is committed and focused on Him. (See Isaiah 26:3 AMP) Trust in the LORD always, for the LORD GOD is the eternal Rock. (Isaiah 26:4 NLT) For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV) Yahweh will give strength to His people; Yahweh will bless His people with peace. — Psalms 29:11 (LSB)

The God of All Comfort

Image
Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts and encourages us in every trouble so that we will be able to comfort and encourage those who are in any kind of trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. — 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (AMP) May we comfort and encourage one another. However, if no one is there to encourage you, be like David. When David and his men returned home from battle they found the city burned with fire, and their wives, their sons, and their daughters had been taken captive. (See 1 Samuel 30:6 NASB1995) David was greatly distressed because the people spoke of stoning him, for all the people were embittered, each one because of his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God. (1 Samuel 30:6)  In the midst of troubles, encourage yourself in Yahweh. For whatever was written in earlier times was written for ou...

Count it All Joy

Image
Consider it nothing but joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trials. Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace]. And let endurance have its perfect result and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed [in your faith], lacking in nothing. — James 1:2-4 (AMP) When you encounter trials or temptations, patiently endure and see it as an opportunity to trust Yahweh. Blessed [happy, spiritually prosperous, favored by God] is the man who is steadfast under trial and perseveres when tempted; for when he has passed the test and been approved, he will receive the [victor’s] crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. (James 1:12 AMP) And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28 NASB1995)

Blessed!

Image
Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. — James 1:17 (NLT) We are so blessed! God has freely given us every good thing and every perfect gift. The heavens are the heavens of the LORD, but the earth He has given to the sons of men. (Psalms 115:16 NASB1995) Blessed and happy and favored are those whose lawless acts have been forgiven, and whose sins have been covered up by the blood of Yeshua and completely buried. (See Romans 4:7 & Matthew 26:28) Yahweh remembered us; He will bless! He will bless the house of Israel. He will bless the house of Aaron. He will bless those who fear Yahweh, the small together with the great. (Psalms 115:12-13 LSB) Proverbs 3:33 (NASB1995) says, He blesses the dwelling of the righteous. The blessing of the LORD brings [true] riches, and He adds no sorrow to it [for it comes as a blessing from God]. (Proverbs 10:22 AMP) Yahweh ble...

Our Rock & Refuge

Image
The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. — Psalms 18:2 (NASB1995) For God alone my soul waits in silence and quietly submits to Him, for my hope is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; My fortress and my defense, I will not be shaken or discouraged. On God my salvation and my glory rest; He is my rock of [unyielding] strength, my refuge is in God. (Psalms 62:5-7 AMP) Take refuge in Yahweh. He is a rock of habitation to which we may continually come;
(See Psalms 71:3 NASB1995) In Him, we shall not be greatly shaken. (See 62:2 NASB1995)  And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.  — Philippians 4:19 (NASB1995)

He Cares for You

Image
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. — 1 Peter 5:6-7 (NASB1995) Because Yahweh cares for us, we can give all of our cares and concerns to Him and trust Him to handle them all. “So now I live with the confidence that there is nothing in the universe with the power to separate us from God’s love. I’m convinced that his love will triumph over death, life’s troubles, fallen angels, or dark rulers in the heavens. There is nothing in our present or future circumstances that can weaken his love. There is no power above us or beneath us—no power that could ever be found in the universe that can distance us from God’s passionate love, which is lavished upon us through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One!” (Romans 8:38-39 TPT) Even before he made the world, God loved us. (See Ephesians 1:4 NLT) Live with confidence in God’s unfailing love.

Always Giving Thanks

Image
always giving thanks for everything to God the Father, in the name of the Lord Yeshua the Messiah. — Ephesians 5:20 (TLV) O give thanks to the LORD, call on His name; Make His deeds known among the peoples. Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; Speak of all His wonders. (2 Chronicles 16:7-9 AMP) ...thanks be to God, who keeps giving us the victory through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah! (1 Corinthians 15:17 TLV) We can thank Him that even though we go through trials and tribulations here on earth, He has already given us the victory through Yeshua. Do not be like the people in Romans 1:21-22 (NASB1995) For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools. Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name. (Hebrews 13:15 NASB1995) in every situation [no matter what ...

God of Possibilities

Image
Looking at them, Yeshua said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God!” — Mark 10:27 (TLV) The Scripture says: all things are possible WITH God. Are you with Him today? If you are, know that ALL things are possible. Fix your hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers. (See 1 Timothy 4:10 NASB1995) Great is His faithfulness! Job said: “God might kill me, but I have no other hope.” (See Job 13:15 NLT) There is no other. Like Job, we know that our Redeemer lives! (See Job 19:25) What we can conceive in the human mind is limited, but there are no limits to what our mighty God can do. So keep your hope and faith not in man, or any institution, or government, which is temporary, but in the Everlasting God. He is our only hope and the source of all life. Yahweh is good; His lovingkindness endures forever and His faithfulness endures to all generations. (See Psalms 100:5) ALL things are possible with Him.   ...as...

Be Glad

Image
Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; And let them say among the nations, “The LORD reigns.” — 1 Chronicles‬ ‭16‬:‭31‬ ‭(NKJV‬‬) We can be glad and rejoice because no matter what happens on this earth, our God reigns. He is a good and faithful God., Who will never leave us nor forsake us. “Sing to the LORD, all the earth; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples. For the LORD is great and greatly to be praised; He is also to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but the LORD made the heavens.” (1 Chronicles‬ ‭16‬:‭23‬-‭26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬) “Give to the LORD the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him. Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness!” (1 Chronicles‬ ‭16‬:‭29‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

He's Calling

Image
“ All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. ” — John 6:37-38 (NASB1995) See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! (See 1 John 3:1 NIV) Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. (Ephesians 1:4-5 NLT) With lovingkindness the heavenly Father draws us. And what a comfort to know that Yeshua accepts all who come to Him. Yeshua continually calls for ALL to come to Him and abide in Him. And like Yeshua, may we be about doing the will of our Heavenly Father Who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Bless Yahweh

Image
Bless Yahweh, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless Yahweh, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits; — Psalms 103:1-2 (LSB) The LORD is mindful of us. He pardons all our iniquities. He heals all our diseases. He redeems our lives from the pit and crowns us with lovingkindness and compassion. He satisfies our years with good things, so that our youth is renewed like the eagle. (See Psalms 103:3-5 LSB) Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort. He comforts and encourages us in every trouble… (See 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 AMP) He guides us along the best pathway for our lives. He advises and watches over us. (See Psalm 32:8 NLT) God richly and ceaselessly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. (1 Timothy 6:17 AMP)  The LORD lives, and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of my salvation, (Psalms 18:46 NASB1995). I will bless Yahweh at all times; His pra...

One Day at a Time

Image
“Refuse to worry about tomorrow, but deal with each challenge that comes your way, one day at a time. Tomorrow will take care of itself.” — Matthew 6:34 (TPT) Refuse to fret about tomorrow. Each day has enough trouble of its own. And every minute we spend focused on tomorrow’s issues, we are allowing the enemy to steal precious moments and energy from the present. We are empowered today to deal with the troubles we face today. Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. (Philippians 4:6 AMP) And know that the peace of God (a peace that is beyond any and all of our human understanding) will stand watch over your hearts and minds in Jesus, the Anointed One. (Philippians 4:7 VOICE) “Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with what...

We are Surrounded

Image
As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so Yahweh surrounds His people from now until forever. — Psalms 125:2 (LSB) Yahweh covers His people on all sides, not just in the past, but today and forever! …let everyone who is godly pray to Yahweh in a time when He may be found; Surely in a flood of great waters they will not reach us. He is our hiding place; He preserves us from trouble; He surrounds us with songs of deliverance. Selah. (See Psalms 32:6-7) Psalms 32:10 (AMP) says: …he who trusts in and relies on the LORD shall be surrounded with compassion and lovingkindness. And Psalms 34:7 (TPT) says: “The angel of Yahweh stooped down to listen as I prayed, encircling me, empowering me, and showing me how to escape. He will do this for everyone who fears God.” Praise God for His protection and His favor. ...let all who take refuge in You be glad, let them ever sing for joy; And may You shelter them, that those who love Your name may exult in You. For it is You who blesses the righteous one, ...

Don't Despair

Image
I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living. — Psalms 27:13 (LSB) Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him for the help of His presence. (Psalms 42:5 NASB1995) Keep your hope in Yahweh alive and active. In Jeremiah 29:11 (LSB), He says: “For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares Yahweh, ‘plans for peace and not for calamity, to give you a future and a hope.” Let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (See Hebrews 4:16) “Here’s what I’ve learned through it all: Don’t give up; don’t be impatient; be entwined as one with the Lord. Be brave and courageous, and never lose hope. Yes, keep on waiting—for he will never disappoint you!” (Psalms 27:14 TPT)

Dwell Securely

Image
I have set Yahweh continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will dwell securely. — Psalms 16:8-9 (LSB) Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone, a costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed. He who believes in it will not be disturbed.” (Isaiah 28:16 NASB1995) He only is my rock and my salvation; My fortress and my defense, I will not be shaken or discouraged. (Psalms 62:6 AMP) Trust in, and remain committed to our mighty God. He is a strong refuge and a sure foundation for us. Rely on Him with unwavering confidence. Even though you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, fear no evil, for He is with you; His rod and His staff, will comfort you. (See Psalms 23:4) The [consistently] righteous will never be shaken, but the wicked will not inhabit the earth. — Proverbs 10:30 (AMP)

There is No Other

Image
And when John had heard in prison about the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples and said to Him, “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?” — Matthew 11:2-3 (NKJV) John the Baptist baptized Yeshua. In John 1:15 (NASB), he testified about Him. And in Matthew 3:17 (NKJV), he was there when the Father’s voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” What caused him to doubt if Yeshua was really the One? Did being imprisoned lead him to question the validity of what he previously knew to be true? James 1:6 says: he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. (See James 1:8)  Never let your current circumstances, no matter how dismal, lead you down the path of questioning the truth (the Word of God). When it feels like our enemy has you confined, knowing the truth will set you free. (See John 8:32) We do not have to look for another. Yeshua is the One a...

He is Always Good

Image
“Yahweh is always good to all who trust in him, to the soul who searches for him.” — Lamentations 3:25 (TPT) Yahweh’s tender mercies have no end, and the kindness of his endless love is never exhausted. New, fresh mercies greet me with every sunrise. So wonderfully great is your faithfulness! I tell my soul, “Yahweh is my abundant portion. I need nothing more. So, I will put all my hope in him.” (Lamentations 3:22-24 TPT) Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation! Selah (Psalms 68:19 NKJV) Consider the kind of extravagant love the Father has lavished on us—He calls us children of God! It’s true; we are His beloved children… (See 1 John 3:1 VOICE)  Good and upright is Yahweh; Therefore He instructs sinners in the way. (Psalms 25:8 LSB) The Lord is good and ready to forgive; His loyal love flows generously over all who cry out to Him. (See Psalms 86:5 VOICE) For the LORD is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting and His faithfulness to all gene...

Keep Asking, Seeking & Knocking

Image
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” — Matthew 7:7-8 (NASB1995) Keep asking, seeking and knocking. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. (Psalms 84:11 NASB1995) Psalms 34:10 (NASB1995) says, they who seek the LORD shall not be in want of any good thing. What if you ask and do not receive? While something may appear to us as a good thing, our heavenly Father knows it may not be a good thing for us, at this time. And James 4:3 (NLT) says: And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure. The Amplified Bible elaborates on wrong motives: out of selfishness or with an unrighteous agenda. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His ...

Our Strength & Song

Image
“ I will sing to Yahweh, for He is highly exalted; The horse and its rider He has hurled into the sea. Yah is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation; This is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will extol Him. Yahweh is a warrior; Yahweh is His name. ” — Exodus 15:1-3 (LSB) “Your right hand, O Yahweh, is majestic in power, Your right hand, O Yahweh, shatters the enemy. Who is like You among the gods, O Yahweh? Who is like You, majestic in holiness, fearsome in praises, working wonders? In Your lovingkindness You have guided the people whom You have redeemed; In Your strength You have led them to Your holy habitation. Yahweh shall reign forever and ever.” (Exodus 15:6,11,13,18) Just as Yahweh gave Moses and the Israelites victory over their enemies, He has also given us victory through Yeshua, the Messiah. Glory hallelujah! He is with you. Draw your strength from Yahweh and remember that the battle belongs to Him. ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spi...

Wait & Listen

Image
…Yahweh was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but Yahweh was not in the earthquake. Then after the earthquake a fire, but Yahweh was not in the fire; and after the fire a sound of a thin gentle whisper. — 1 Kings 19:11-12 (LSB) The winds of adversity will come and go. Your world may get shaken and you may go through some fiery trials, but don’t draw back or give up. Lift up your prayer to Yahweh and then take the time to listen for His still small voice. Sometimes our lives are too busy and too noisy, to hear His voice. Clear your mind of all clutter. If our minds are filled with anxiety, worry, or fear, it makes it difficult to hear the gentle whisper of our heavenly Father. Let the peace of God guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (See Philippians 4:7), as you listen for His word to come to you. If you want a closer walk with God, you must patiently wait, with expectation, to hear His voice and then follow His instruction. Elijah was hiding out in a cave when t...

Let Be

Image
Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth! — Psalms 46:10 (AMPC) There are some situations in our lives that we have to let be. The more we try to force our will, the worse things sometimes get, and we end up stressing ourselves out. Instead, let us be still and understand that God will work things out at the right time and in His way. Cease striving and acknowledge El Elyon, the God Most High. He is exalted above the heavens and the earth. He is above every mountain and valley, and every storm we go through. He is Elohim, the all-powerful One, Creator of the universe and all it contains. Nothing is too difficult for Him. He is El Shaddai, the all sufficient One, the source of all our blessings. He is El Olam, the everlasting God, the beginning and the end. Know that He is Adonai, our Master and majestic Lord. And understand that He is El Roi, the God Who Sees you. He knows all that you g...

He Came to Save

Image
God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him. — John 3:17 (TLV) The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost. (See Luke 19:10) Yeshua did not come to call the [self-proclaimed] righteous [who see no need to repent], but sinners to repentance [to change their old way of thinking, to turn from sin and to seek God and His righteousness].” (See Luke 5:32 AMP) “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 TLV) He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:18 NASB1995) Believe in the Lord Yeshua as your personal Savior and entrust yourself to Him and you will be saved. “Now is the fullness of time,” He said, “and the kingdom of God is near! Turn away from your sins, and believe in the Good News!” — ...

Do As He Says

Image
Simon answered and said, “Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing, but I will do as You say and let down the nets.” — Luke 5:5 (NASB1995) Even though Peter and the other fishermen had worked hard all night and caught nothing, he obeyed the words of Yeshua and lowered the nets again. As a result, they caught such a great number of fish, they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they filled both of the boats, so that they began to sink. (See Luke 5:6-7) Oh, the blessings that follow our obedience! May we always do as our Lord and Savior says. When He says: “Follow Me,” let us follow Him each and every moment of the day. It’s only when we abide in Him that we can bear much fruit. (See John 15:4-5)  Yeshua says: “Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone…” And the blessing we receive is that our Father who is in heaven will also forgive us our transgressions. (See Mark 11:25) In Matthew 6:31-32, Yeshua instr...

Life & Peace

Image
So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. — Romans 8:6 (NLT) What is controlling your mind? The world, your flesh, or the Spirit of God? Those who are motivated by the flesh only pursue what benefits themselves. (See Romans 8:6 TPT) The Amplified Bible says the mind of the flesh pursues sin. And that leads to death. Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. (1 John 2:15-17 NLT) For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. (Romans 8:14 NLT) Set your mind on the things of the Spiri...

He Directs

Image
A man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life], but the LORD directs his steps and establishes them. — Proverbs 16:9 (AMP) Prayerfully make your plans. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. (Proverbs 3:6 NLT) Value the plan of God for your life more than you desire anything this world has to offer. May we continually follow the lead of His Holy Spirit each day, as He directs and guides us along the right path. Commit your way to Yahweh, trust in Him, and He will do it. (Psalm 37:5 LSB)  Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the Lord and not for men, knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [greatest] reward. It is the Lord Christ whom you [actually] serve. (Colossians 3:23-24 AMP)
