Keep Asking, Seeking & Knocking
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” —Matthew 7:7-8 (NASB1995)
Keep asking, seeking and knocking. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. (Psalms 84:11 NASB1995) Psalms 34:10 (NASB1995) says, they who seek the LORD shall not be in want of any good thing. What if you ask and do not receive? While something may appear to us as a good thing, our heavenly Father knows it may not be a good thing for us, at this time. And James 4:3 (NLT) says: And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure. The Amplified Bible elaborates on wrong motives: out of selfishness or with an unrighteous agenda. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. (1 John 5:14-15 NKJV)
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him! —Matthew 7:11 (NASB1995)
