The God of All Comfort

Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts and encourages us in every trouble so that we will be able to comfort and encourage those who are in any kind of trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (AMP)

May we comfort and encourage one another. However, if no one is there to encourage you, be like David. When David and his men returned home from battle they found the city burned with fire, and their wives, their sons, and their daughters had been taken captive. (See 1 Samuel 30:6 NASB1995) David was greatly distressed because the people spoke of stoning him, for all the people were embittered, each one because of his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God. (1 Samuel 30:6)

In the midst of troubles, encourage yourself in Yahweh. For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. (Romans 15:4 NASB1995)
