Under Attack?

Image
“O our God, won’t you stop them? We are powerless against this mighty army that is about to attack us. We do not know what to do, but we are looking to you for help.” — 2 Chronicles 20:12 (NLT) In 2 Chronicles 20:2, messengers informed Jehoshaphat, that a vast army from Edom was marching against him. In 2 Chronicles 20:6, Jehoshaphat prayed, “O LORD, God of our ancestors, you alone are the God who is in heaven. You are ruler of all the kingdoms of the earth. You are powerful and mighty; no one can stand against you!” When our enemy attacks, may we remember that no one can stand against Yahweh, our mighty God. He is greater! Look to Yahweh at all times, not just in times of trouble, for our help comes from Him. My help comes from Yahweh, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to stumble; He who keeps you will not slumber. — Psalms 121:2-3 (LSB)

Great is the LORD!

Image
Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts. On the glorious splendor of Your majesty and on Your wonderful works, I will meditate. — Psalms 145:3-5 (NASB1995) “You’re kind and tenderhearted to those who don’t deserve it and very patient with people who fail you. Your love is like a flooding river overflowing its banks with kindness.” (Psalms 145:8 TPT) “You are the Lord who reigns over your never-ending kingdom through all the ages of time and eternity! You are faithful to fulfill every promise you’ve made. You manifest yourself as kindness in all you do.” (Psalms 145:13 TPT) “You draw near to those who call out to you, listening closely, especially when their hearts are true.” (Psalms 145:18 TPT) Let us draw near to Yahweh. For in Him we live and move and exist [that is, in Him we actually have our being], as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also ar...

It's Not Yours

Image
Then a certain prophet came to see King Ahab of Israel and told him, “This is what the LORD says: Do you see all these enemy forces? Today I will hand them all over to you. Then you will know that I am the LORD.” — 1 Kings 20:13 (NLT) Who is the King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. (Psalms 24:8 NASB1995) In First Samuel 17:47 (NASB1995), David says: “…that all this assembly may know that the LORD does not deliver by sword or by spear; for the battle is the LORD’s and He will give you into our hands.” In 2 Chronicles 20:15 (NASB1995), the LORD said to His people, “Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God’s.” Yahweh does not change, He is faithful to deliver His people. Whatever battles you are facing today, know that the battle belongs to God. It is not yours. With our enemies is only an arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles.” (See 2 Chronicles 32:8 NASB199...

How Much Longer?

Image
Then Elijah stood in front of them and said, “How much longer will you waver, hobbling between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him! But if Baal is God, then follow him!” But the people were completely silent. — 1 Kings 18:21 (NLT) Don’t be one of the, “Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of Yahweh is near in the valley of decision.” (See Joel 3:14 LSB) James 1:6 (NKJV) says, he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. We should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men… (See Ephesians 4:14) Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve. Set before you is life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; (See Deuteronomy 30:19) And let us not stay silent, but be like the people who saw Yahweh consume the burnt offering, in 1 Kings 18:38-39. They fell on their faces and said, “Yahweh, He is God; Yah...

He Delivers

Image
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all. — Psalms 34:19 (NASB1995) The righteous may face many challenges, troubles, and hardships, but we can always count on two things. One, the LORD is with us, just as He was with Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego in the fiery furnace.(See Daniel 3:22-25) In Isaiah 43:2 (NKJV), He says: “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.” The second thing to remember is that He delivers us out of ALL our afflictions. Nothing is too difficult for our great and mighty God. Amen.

Fully Committed

Image
What then shall we say to all these things? If God is for us, who can be [successful] against us?  — Romans 8:31 (AMP) Yahweh is both, for us and with us. Let us make sure we are wholeheartedly with Him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” (See 1 Samuel 16:7 NKJV) Second Chronicles 16:9 (NLT) says: “The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him…” We cannot straddle the fence. We are either walking with Yahweh, Yeshua and the Holy Spirit, or we are rolling with the devil, this world, or our flesh. For His ways are higher than our ways,
and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. (See Isaiah 55:9) And let us not get caught up in religious traditions and surface level rituals, just going through the motions. May our hearts be truly devoted and connected to our heavenly Father, King Yeshua, and living as citizens and ambassadors of His everla...

Walk in the Light

Image
but if we [really] walk in the Light [that is, live each and every day in conformity with the precepts of God], as He Himself is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another [He with us, and we with Him], and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin [by erasing the stain of sin, keeping us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations]. — 1 John 1:7 (AMP) Turn away from the deeds of darkness, and enjoy true unbroken fellowship with Yahweh, by following the Light of life we have within us. In John 8:12 (NASB1995) Jesus said: “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” He gives light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.” (See Luke 1:79 NKJV) The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. ( Romans 13:12 NKJV) For you were once darkness, but ...

Be On The Alert

Image
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. — 1 Peter 5:8 (NKJV) Our adversary is the accuser of the brethren, who accuses us of sinful behavior before our God day and night. (See Revelation 12:10) We need to stay alert, because the devil is always looking for someone to attack. He is the thief who comes only to steal and kill and destroy;  (See John 10:10a)  So submit to [the authority of] God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you. (James 4:7 AMP) …be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. (Ephesians 6:10-11 NASB)

Surely You Know

Image
Who has ascended into heaven and descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has wrapped the waters in His garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name or His son’s name? Surely you know! — Proverbs 30:4 (NASB1995) …God highly exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Yeshua every knee should bow, in heaven and on the earth and under the earth, and every tongue profess that Yeshua the Messiah is Lord— to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:9-11 TLV) Let us praise the name of Yahweh, for His name alone is set on high; His splendor is  above earth and heaven.. (See Psalms 148:13 LSB)

The End of the Matter

Image
When all has been heard, the end of the matter is: fear God [worship Him with awe-filled reverence, knowing that He is almighty God] and keep His commandments, for this applies to every person. For God will bring every act to judgment, every hidden and secret thing, whether it is good or evil. — Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (AMP) “Why, then, O Jacob’s tribes, would you ever complain? And my chosen Israel, why would you say, “Yahweh isn’t paying attention to my situation. He has lost all interest in what happens to me”? Don’t you know? Haven’t you been listening? Yahweh is the one and only everlasting God, the Creator of all you can see and imagine! He never gets weary or worn out. His intelligence is unlimited; he is never puzzled over what to do!” (Isaiah 40:27-28 TPT) Yahweh has not forgotten about you. The eyes of the LORD are in every place, watching the evil and the good. (Proverbs 15:3 NASB1995) He carefully watches all of our paths, all of our comings and goings. (See Proverbs 5:21 AM...

Remember Him

Image
Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, “Life is not pleasant anymore.” Yes, remember your Creator now while you are young, before the silver cord of life snaps and the golden bowl is broken. Don’t wait until the water jar is smashed at the spring and the pulley is broken at the well. — Ecclesiastes 12:1, 12:6 (NLT) Whatever your current age, it’s never too late to earnestly remember your Creator. Second Corinthians 6:2 (NKJV) says: Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. Don’t be like those who instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles. They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. (See Romans 1:23, 25 NLT) Always remember God. He is our rock, the God Most High...

There is a Season

Image
For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest. A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to tear down and a time to build up. A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and a time to dance. A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a time to turn away. A time to search and a time to quit searching.
A time to keep and a time to throw away. A time to tear and a time to mend.
A time to be quiet and a time to speak. A time to love and a time to hate.
A time for war and a time for peace. — Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (NLT) There are four things that will help us engage in the appropriate activity at the right time: discernment, wisdom, keeping our ears tuned in to His still small voice, and being led by the Holy Spirit of God. Some seasons will be more challenging than others, but remember, He causes all things to work together for good. (See Roma...

Be Happy & Blessed

Image
“Where there is no vision [no revelation of God and His word], the people are unrestrained; But happy and blessed is he who keeps the law [of God].” — Proverbs 29:18 (AMP) With no vision, the people perish. Why? Because they stray away from Yahweh and His principles. We are happy and blessed when we follow God’s Word. It provides vision for all of humanity. Proverbs 29:18 (NLT) says: “When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful.” Forever, His word is settled in heaven. (See Psalms 119:89 NKJV) His Word is truth. When you continue in His Word, you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free from the lies of the enemy. Do not lean on your own insight and opinions. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to God! Run from evil! (Proverbs 3:6-7 MSG) “You’re only truly happy when you walk in total integrity, walking in the light o...

Perfect Peace

Image
“Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]” — John 14:27 (AMP) Yeshua told His disciples that here on earth, we will have many trials and sorrows. (See John 16:33 NLT) So don’t be surprised when the fiery ordeals come. However, in John 14:1 (NASB1995), He also says:  “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.” We can remain calm and be courageous when confronted with the temporary challenges of this world because Jesus has overcome the world. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 NLT) “Y...

Learn to Rely on God

Image
“We think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, about the trouble we went through in the province of Asia. We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it. In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead. And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us.” — 2 Corinthians 1:8-10 (NLT) When you encounter challenging circumstances, look to, and rely on Yahweh, to be your help and your guide. He will bring you through the darkness, into the light of day. When you are burdened excessively, don't despair. Cast all your cares on our heavenly Father, Who cares for you. And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called ...

Praise YAH!

Image
Praise Yah! Praise Yahweh, O my soul! I will praise Yahweh throughout my life;
I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. — Psalms 146:1-2 (LSB) Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our [gracious and majestic] God; Praise is becoming and appropriate. (Psalms 147:1 AMP) Praise Him, Who made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them; Who keeps truth forever; Who does justice for the oppressed; Who gives food to the hungry. Yahweh sets the prisoners free. Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind; Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down; Yahweh loves the righteous; (See Psalms 146:6-8 LSB) He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds [healing their pain and comforting their sorrow]. Great is our [majestic and mighty] Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is inexhaustible [infinite, boundless]. (Psalms 147:3,5 AMP) The LORD favors those who fear and worship Him [with awe-inspired reverence and obedience], those who wait for His mercy and lovin...

“if My people...”

Image
“if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” — 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV) If children of God (those who are called by His name), want Yahweh to heal and restore our land, we need to do our part. First, we are to humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God (See 1 Peter 5:6). Second, we are to persistently pray to our Heavenly Father, instead of complaining, criticizing, or worrying. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. (See James 5:16 NLT)  Third, the Word says to seek His face. This is a posture of the heart.  Psalms 27:8 (NASB1995) says: When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You, “Your face, O LORD, I shall seek.” The affections of our hearts are to be set on Yahweh, more than anything else this world has to offer. And the fourth thing we are instructed to do...

Never Lose Hope

Image
“ I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living. ” — Psalms 27:13 (LSB) “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD. (Jeremiah 17:7 NKJV) In the day of despair, gloom, and doom, keep your hope in Yahweh alive and active. As for me, I will hope continually, and will praise Him yet more and more. (See Psalms 71:14 NKJV) “Here’s what I’ve learned through it all: Don’t give up; don’t be impatient; be entwined as one with the Lord. Be brave and courageous, and never lose hope. Yes, keep on waiting—for he will never disappoint you!” (Psalms 27:14 TPT)  The LORD God of Heaven’s Armies is entirely faithful. And His faithfulness extends to every generation... (See Psalms 89:8 & 119:90 NLT) He watches over His Word to perform it. What He has spoken shall be done. Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the LORD. (Psalms 31:24 NKJV)

Come Before His Presence

Image
O come, let us sing for joy to the LORD, let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is a great God and a great King above all gods, — Psalms 95:1-3 (NASB1995) Don't imitate Adam and Eve and try to hide from God. Nor be like Jonah, who went in the opposite direction from where God instructed him to go. And definitely don't let the waves of doubt cause you to drift away from Him and suffer shipwreck in regard to your faith. The LORD beckons us to “ COME ” to Him. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. For Yahweh is good; His lovingkindness endures forever and His faithfulness, generation unto generation. (Psalms 100:4-5 LSB) Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. (Psalm 29:2 NKJV) …praise the name of God with a song, and magnify Him with thanksgiving. (See P...

Greater is Our God

Image
“This must be a magnificent Temple because our God is greater than all other gods.” — 2 Chronicles 2:5 (NLT) Solomon in all of his wisdom, knew that our God is greater than all other gods. Know for certain that He is above all of your circumstances, various conditions, doctor’s reports and financial affairs. Let all the earth fear the LORD; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. The LORD nullifies the counsel of the nations; He frustrates the plans of the peoples. The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of His heart from generation to generation. (Psalms 33:8-11 NASB1995) After our mighty God delivered Daniel, servant of the living God, from a den of lions, Darius the king wrote: “To all peoples, nations, and languages that dwell in all the earth: Peace be multiplied to you. I make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom men must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel. For He is the l...

Rise Again

Image
“For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again, but the wicked stumble in time of disaster and collapse.” — Proverbs 24:16 (AMP) The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the LORD,
and He delights in his way [and blesses his path]. When he falls, he will not be hurled down, because the LORD is the One who holds his hand and sustains him. (Psalms 37:23-24 AMP) Many hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous, but the LORD rescues him from them all. (Psalms 34:19 AMP) Do not get upset because of evildoers, or be envious of the wicked, for there will be no future for the evil man; The lamp of the wicked will be put out. (Proverbs 24:19-20 AMP) But the LORD will redeem those who serve him. No one who takes refuge in him will be condemned. (Psalms 34:22 NLT) “ Do not gloat over me, my enemies! For though I fall, I will rise again. Though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light. ” — Micah 7:8 (NLT)

He Knows the Plans

Image
“People ruin their lives by their own foolishness and then are angry at the LORD.” — Proverbs 19:3 (NLT) Many lives are ruined because people choose “to do their own thing” instead of seeking and yielding to the will of our heavenly Father, Who created us and knows the plans He has for us. His plans are for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give us a future and a hope. (See Jeremiah 29:11 AMP) “You can make many plans, but the LORD’s purpose will prevail.” (Proverbs 19:21 NLT) “No human wisdom or understanding or plan can stand against the LORD.” (Proverbs 21:30 NLT) Second Samuel 22:29 (NKJV) says: “…You are my lamp, O LORD; The LORD shall enlighten my darkness.” When we walk in the light, with Him, He will show us the right path to take. The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” — Psalms 32:8 (NLT)

Don't Fall!

Image
Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. — Proverbs 16:18 (AMP) It's hard to fall when we are kneeling before God, with a humble heart. When pride comes [boiling up with an arrogant attitude of self-importance], then come dishonor and shame, but with the humble [the teachable who have been chiseled by trial and who have learned to walk humbly with God] there is wisdom and soundness of mind. (Proverbs 11:2 AMP) The LORD gives His grace [His undeserved favor] to the humble [those who give up self-importance]. (See Proverbs 3:34 AMP) The humble He guides in justice, and the humble He teaches His way. (Psalms 25:9 NKJV) Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, (1 Peter 5:6 NKJV) Humble yourselves [with an attitude of repentance and insignificance] in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you [He will lift you up, He will give you purpose]. — James 4:10 (AMP)

Nothing More

Image
Yahweh’s tender mercies have no end, and the kindness of his endless love is never exhausted. New, fresh mercies greet me with every sunrise. So wonderfully great is your faithfulness! I tell my soul, “Yahweh is my abundant portion. I need nothing more. So, I will put all my hope in him.” — Lamentations 3:22-24 (TPT) Yahweh is our Source. He is El Shaddai, the all Sufficient One. In Him, we have all that we need. He is Elohim, the all-powerful Creator of the universe. He is the Everlasting God (El Olam), Who sees you (El Roi). He is a faithful Father and a constant Companion. He is Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. “His grace is sufficient for us. His lovingkindness and His mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation; for His power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in our weakness.” (See 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 AMP) He is our strong tower and a safe sanctuary. Open your heart and receive His lovingkindness and fresh new mercie...

When the Storms Come...

Image
“When the storms of life come, the wicked are whirled away, but the godly have a lasting foundation.” — Proverbs 10:25 (NLT) When you go through deep waters, the LORD will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. (See Isaiah 43:2 NLT) In the midst of the storms of life, we can be like Jesus, in Mark 4:37-39 (NLT). When a fierce storm came up, high waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water, but Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. He was calm and comfortable in the midst of the storm because His trust was in our heavenly Father.  The LORD displays his power in the whirlwind and the storm. (See Nahum 1:3 NLT) He is a tower of refuge to the poor, a tower of refuge to the needy in distress. He is a refuge from the storm and a shelter from the heat. (See Isaiah 25:4 NLT) And the Lord GOD ha...

The Benefits of Wisdom

Image
“I call to you, to all of you! I raise my voice to all people. Listen to me! For I have important things to tell you. Everything I say is right, for I speak the truth and detest every kind of deception.” — Proverbs 8:1, 6-7 (NLT) Wisdom says to all people: “Choose my instruction rather than silver, and knowledge rather than pure gold. For wisdom is far more valuable than rubies. Nothing you desire can compare with it. (Proverbs 8:10-11 NLT) I love those who love me; And those who seek me early and diligently will find me. Riches and honor are with me, enduring wealth and righteousness (right standing with God). (Proverbs 8:17-18 AMP) Listen to my instruction and be wise. Don’t ignore it. Joyful are those who listen to me, watching for me daily at my gates, waiting for me outside my home! For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the LORD. (Proverbs 8:33-35 NLT) Leave your simple ways behind, and begin to live; learn to use good judgment.” (Proverbs 9:6 NLT)  Wisdom w...

Don’t Get Sidetracked

Image
“Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.” — Proverbs 4:25-27 (NLT) Giving attention to sideshow distractions often lead to delays and detours that will leave us in dark ditches and on dead end roads. “…With fixed purpose, looking straight ahead, ignore life’s distractions.” (See Proverbs 4:25 TPT)  The distractions of this world will hinder you from moving forward on the path Yahweh has marked out for you. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and turn away from evil.” (Proverbs 3:5-7 NASB1995) “The guilty walk a crooked path; the innocent travel a straight road.” (Proverbs 21:8 NLT)  “Walk straight—live well and be saved; a devious life is a doomed life.” — Proverbs 28:1...

Wisdom Calls

Image
Wisdom shouts in the streets. She cries out in the public square. She calls to the crowds along the main street, to those gathered in front of the city gate: “Come and listen to my counsel. I’ll share my heart with you and make you wise. I called you so often, but you wouldn’t come. I reached out to you, but you paid no attention.” — Proverbs 1:20-21, 23-24 (NLT) “...wisdom’s song is not always heard in the halls of higher learning. But in the hustle and bustle of everyday life its lyrics can always be heard above the din of the crowd. You will hear wisdom’s warning as she preaches courageously to those who stop to listen:” (Proverbs 1:21 TPT) …listen to what wisdom says, and treasure her commands. Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on gaining understanding. (See Proverbs 2:1-2 NLT) All who listen to wisdom will live in peace, untroubled by fear of harm. (See Proverbs 1:33 NLT)

Our Security & Stability

Image
The LORD is exalted, for He dwells on high; He has filled Zion with justice and righteousness. And He will be the security and stability of your times, a treasure of salvation, wisdom and knowledge; The fear of the LORD is your treasure. — Isaiah 33:5-6 (AMP) The world may be in a constant state of change, and the current culture may call what is good, bad and say what is bad, is good, but our Everlasting God does not change. (See Malachi 4:6) Forever, His word is settled in heaven [standing firm and unchangeable]. (See Psalms 119:89 AMP) When we stand on the Word of God, we are standing on solid ground. May we look to Yahweh for our security and stability, and seek Him for the wisdom and knowledge we need to successfully navigate our journey through life. Therefore the Lord GOD says this, “Listen carefully, I am laying in Zion a Stone, a tested Stone, a precious Cornerstone for the [secure] foundation, firmly placed. He who believes [who trusts in, relies on, and adheres to that Ston...

Something New

Image
“ Do not call to mind the former things, or consider things of the past. Behold, I am going to do something new, now it will spring up; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert. ”  — Isaiah 43:18-19 (NASB) In Isaiah 42:9 (NKJV), God the LORD says: “Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare; Before they spring forth I tell you of them.” If we stay focused on our past, we might miss the new things Yahweh is doing in our midst. Not that I have already grasped it all or have already become perfect, but I press on if I may also take hold of that for which I was even taken hold of by Christ Jesus. Brothers and sisters, I do not regard myself as having taken hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:12-14 NASB) Stop holding on to the past and embra...

Consider it ALL Joy

Image
Consider it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you encounter various trials, — James 1:2 (NASB) James says to consider it ALL joy, not just the easy stuff, or the times when things are convenient and free-flowing. We can consider it ALL joy when we encounter various trials because it is a chance for Yahweh to show Himself strong on our behalf. Second Chronicles 16:9 (NASB) says: For the eyes of the LORD roam throughout the earth, so that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His. Trials also help us grow stronger in our faith, and learn to be confident that the God Most High is WITH us and He is FOR us. If God is for us, who can be [successful] against us? (See Romans 8:31 AMP) Whatever we need, Yahweh is our Source and His supply is limitless. He is Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. Continually look to Him and rely on Him. Our help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. Amen! knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have...

Praise the LORD!

Image
Praise the LORD! Yes, give praise, O servants of the LORD. Praise the name of the LORD! Blessed be the name of the LORD now and forever. Everywhere—from east to west— praise the name of the LORD. For the LORD is high above the nations; his glory is higher than the heavens. — Psalms 113:1-4 (NLT) Our God is good and everything He does is good. (See Psalms 119:68) Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty. His righteousness never fails. He causes us to remember his wonderful works. How gracious and merciful is our LORD! (Psalms 111:3-4 NLT) Not to us, O L ORD , not to us, but to your name goes all the glory for your unfailing love and faithfulness. (Psalms 115:1) The dead cannot sing praises to the LORD, for they have gone into the silence of the grave. But we can praise the LORD both now and forever! Praise the LORD! (Psalms 115:17-18)

God of Restoration

Image
“You have allowed me to suffer much hardship, but you will restore me to life again and lift me up from the depths of the earth.” — Psalms 71:20 (NLT) According to 2 Corinthians 4:17 (NASB1995), our affliction is momentary and light. You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. (2 Timothy 2:3 NKJV) So after you have suffered a little while, God will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. (See 1 Peter 5:10 NLT) In the meantime, keep on hoping for His help, and praise Him more and more. (See Psalms 71:14 NLT) Our mighty God is a God of restoration. “Unless the LORD had helped me, I would soon have settled in the silence of the grave. I cried out, “I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O LORD, supported me. When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.” (Psalms 94:17-19 NLT) In Psalms 30:2 (NLT) David says: “O LORD my God, I cried to you for help, and you restored my health.” In Isaiah 5...

True Wisdom

Image
Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true wisdom. All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom. Praise him forever! — Psalms 111:10 (NLT) Praise the LORD! How joyful are those who fear the LORD and delight in obeying his commands. Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed. They themselves will be wealthy, and their good deeds will last forever. (Psalms 112:1-3 NLT) All you who fear the LORD, trust the LORD! He is your helper and your shield. (Psalms 115:11 NLT) He will bless those who fear the LORD, both great and lowly. May the LORD richly bless both you and your children. (Psalms 115:13-14 NLT) Let the whole world fear the LORD, and let everyone stand in awe of him. For when he spoke, the world began! It appeared at his command. — Psalms 33:8-9 (NLT)

Adore Him

Image
Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O LORD, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things. Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength. — 1 Chronicles 29:11-12 (NLT) May we adore Yahweh, that is to love and respect Him deeply, be consumed with thoughts of Him and continually experience the fullness of joy and pure pleasure of being in His Presence. Adore Him as the One Who is over all things. He is our Maker, and Creator of heaven and earth and all they contain. For from Him [all things originate] and through Him [all things live and exist] and to Him are all things [directed]. To Him be glory and honor forever! Amen. (Romans 11:36 AMP) “O our God, we thank you and praise your glorious name! But who am I, and who are my people, that we could ...

Where is Your Confidence?

Image
Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there. When they breathe their last, they return to the earth, and all their plans die with them. — Psalms 146:3-4 (NLT) “But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit. (Jeremiah 17: 7-8 NLT) It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in people. (Psalms 118:8 NLT) May we place no confidence in the flesh, nor in what we have, nor who we are (the titles we wear). But let us be confident in Yahweh, for His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. He rules throughout all generations. The LORD always keeps his promises; He is gracious in all he does. (See Psalms 145:13 NLT) The LORD is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His deeds. The L...

Words

Image
By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. — Hebrews 11:3 (NKJV) Words are powerful. They can build up or tear down. Words form perceptions and establish beliefs. They can create hope and expectation. With your words you can crush someone’s spirit or you can encourage and support. Proverbs 12:18 says, the tongue of the wise promotes health. Words can be used to deceive or they can reveal truth. Proverbs 10:31 says: The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom, but the perverse tongue will be cut out. What kind of environment are you creating with the words that come out of your mouth? Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. (Proverbs 18:21 NKJV) May we speak words of life and truth.

God's Help

Image
“Oh, please help us against our enemies, for all human help is useless. With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.” — Psalms 108:12-13 (NLT) Put your hope in Yahweh, for our help comes from Him. God is our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable], a very present and well-proved help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains be shaken and slip into the heart of the seas, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its roaring. Selah. (Psalms 46:1-3 AMP) How blessed and graciously favored is he whose help is the God of Jacob (Israel), whose hope is in the LORD his God, Who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, Who keeps truth and is faithful forever, (Psalms 146:5-6 AMP)

Our Turnaround God

Image
Sing praise to Yahweh, you His holy ones, and give thanks for the remembrance of His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning. — Psalms 30:4-5 (LSB) Let us praise YAH! For He is the LORD Most High over all the earth; He is exalted far above all (little “g”) gods. (See Psalms 97:9) Nothing is too difficult for our mighty God. Whatever set of circumstances are before you, He is able to turn them around. Hallelujah!  He can change bitter waters to sweet. (See Exodus 15:23-25) He restores the sick to health. Psalms 30:2 (LSB) says: “O Yahweh my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me.” He is able to make darkness light before His people, and make crooked places straight. (See Isaiah 42:16) Micah 7:8 (AMP) says: Though I sit in the darkness [of distress], the LORD is a light for me. He will turn your mourning into joyful dancing. He will take away clothes of mourning and cl...

Light Shines

Image
“Light shines on the godly, and joy on those whose hearts are right. May all who are godly rejoice in the LORD and praise his holy name!” — Psalms 97:11-12 (NLT) In John 9:5, Yeshua said: “While I am in the world, I am the Light of the world.” In Matthew 5:14, He told His disciples: “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden;” Wherever your journey through life takes you, be the light . As children of God we are to live clean, innocent lives, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. (See Philippians 2:15 NLT) Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:16 NASB1995) “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of Yahweh has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth and dense gloom the peoples; But Yahweh will rise upon you, and His glory will appear upon you.”  — Isaiah 60:1-2 (LSB)

Our Rock and Fortress

Image
He sang: “The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. He is my refuge, my savior, the one who saves me from violence.” — 2 Samuel 22:2-3 (NLT) In my distress I called upon Yahweh, and I called to my God; And out of His temple He heard my voice, and my cry for help came into His ears. (2 Samuel 22:7 LSB) “Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy! I look to you for protection. I will hide beneath the shadow of your wings until the danger passes by. I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me.” (Psalms 57:1-2 NLT) He reached down from heaven and rescued me; he drew me out of deep waters. (2 Samuel 22:17 (NLT) When overwhelmed and in distress, call upon Yahweh. He is faithful to hear and come to the rescue. He will give you His shield of victory; His help will make you great. (See 2 Samuel 22:36 NLT) “The LORD lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let God be exal...

As the Deer

Image
As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God? — Psalms 42:1-2 (NASB1995) Praise Yahweh, we have the awesome privilege and honor to approach the throne of our gracious God, with confidence and without fear, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. …each day the LORD pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life. (Psalms 42:8 NLT) May we desire the Presence of God, more than anything else this world has to offer. We put our hope in the LORD. He is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. Let your unfailing love surround us, LORD, for our hope is in you alone. (Psalms 33:20-22 NLT)  In Isaiah 55:1-3 (NASB1995), the LORD says: “Ho! Every one who thirsts, come to the waters; And you who have no money come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk without money and without c...

Know His Voice

Image
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.” — John 10:27-28 (NASB1995) There are many voices going forth in the world today. Be wise and very careful of which voices you choose to heed. Yeshua, the Good Shepherd says: …the sheep hear His voice, and He calls His own sheep by name and leads them out. He goes ahead of them, and His sheep follow Him because they know His voice. (See John 10:3-4) Yeshua is the good shepherd who lays down His life for the sheep. (See John 10:11) In John 10:14 (AMP) Yeshua says: “I am the Good Shepherd, and I know [without any doubt those who are] My own and My own know Me [and have a deep, personal relationship with Me]” The voice of the LORD is powerful;  The voice of the LORD is full of majesty. The voice of the LORD divides the flames of fire.  The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness...  The voice of the LORD makes...

Lead Me

Image
Hear my cry, O God; Give heed to my prayer. From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For You have been a refuge for me, a tower of strength against the enemy. — Psalms 61:1-3 (NASB1995) May we always follow, as Yahweh leads us. My soul waits in silence for God only; From Him is my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken. (Psalms 62:1-2 NASB1995) Trust [confidently] in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him.
God is a refuge for us. Selah. (Psalms 62:8 AMP) The righteous will rejoice in the LORD and take refuge in Him; All the upright in heart will glory and offer praise. (Psalms 64:10 AMP)

Aim to Please God

Image
Do you think I care about the approval of men or about the approval of God? Do you think I am on a mission to please people? If I am still spinning my wheels trying to please men, then there is no way I can be a servant of the Anointed One, the Liberating King. — Galatians 1:10 (VOICE) Let us not try to win the approval of people but seek to please our heavenly Father. Be more concerned about your private relationship with God than your public life before people. Live for an audience of One, the Holy One of Israel. The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in and puts his confidence in the LORD will be exalted and safe. (Proverbs 29:25 AMP)  The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? (Psalms 118:6 NKJV) But I will point out to you whom you should fear: fear the One who, after He has killed, has authority and power to hurl [you] into hell; yes, I say to you, [stand in great awe of God and] fear Him! — Luke 12:5 (AMP)

Release It

Image
Cast your burden on the LORD [release it] and He will sustain and uphold you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken (slip, fall, fail). — Psalms 55:22 (AMP) Sometimes we give our cares and concerns to Yahweh in prayer but we don’t let go of them. We continue to carry them with us, throughout the day. Often, telling others about them. And the more we magnify them, the larger they seem. Let them go and allow the peace of God to rule in your heart and in your mind. It is prideful for us to think we can handle anything better than our great God is able to. Experience a lighter load, by releasing all your cares to God and relying on Him to give you success in that situation. I once read: “Instead of telling God how big your problems are. Tell your problems how big your GOD is.” Amen. Therefore humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you, casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all y...

He Brings Us Back

Image
All of us must die eventually. Our lives are like water spilled out on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. But God does not just sweep life away; instead, he devises ways to bring us back when we have been separated from him. — 2 Samuel 14:14 (NLT) A woman from Tekoa who had a reputation for great wisdom (See 2 Samuel 14:2), spoke these words to King David, in regards to the situation with his son, Absalom. However, Yahweh does not drive us away from Him, when we sin. His call is always to come near to Him, with a humble and repentant heart. In Numbers 9:17, the children of Israel refused to obey Yahweh, and did not remember His wondrous deeds which He performed among them. So they became stubborn and in their rebellion they appointed a leader to return to their bondage (slavery in Egypt). But Yahweh is a God of forgiveness, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness, and He did not forsake them.  Seek Yahweh while He may be found; Call upon Hi...

What Joy!

Image
Yes, what joy for those whose record the Lord has cleared of guilt, whose lives are lived in complete honesty! — Psalms 32:2 (NLT) O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help. (Psalms 86:5 NLT) Therefore, let all the godly pray to you while there is still time, that they may not drown in the floodwaters of judgment. For you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory. Interlude (Psalms 32:6-7 NLT) Many sorrows come to the wicked, but unfailing love surrounds those who trust the LORD. So rejoice in the LORD and be glad, all you who obey him! Shout for joy, all you whose hearts are pure! (Psalms 32:10-11 NLT) Teach me your ways, O LORD, that I may live according to your truth! Grant me purity of heart, so that I may honor you. — Psalms 86:11 (NLT)

Turn My Eyes

Image
Turn my eyes away from vanity [all those worldly, meaningless things that distract—let Your priorities be mine], and restore me [with renewed energy] in Your ways. — Psalms 119:37 (AMP) Don't be ignorant of the devil’s devices, nor follow worldly ways. Distractions often draw us away from our heavenly Father, out of His Word, and down some dark alley or dead-end road that results in sin, death and destruction. Genesis 3:6 says: Eve saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes… Judges 14:1 (NLT) says: One day when Samson was in Timnah, one of the Philistine women caught his eye. And in 2 Samuel 11:2, as King David was walking on the roof of the palace, he saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very beautiful to behold. In each case, what they saw with their eyes, led them down the slippery slope to sin.  Beware of the things that catch the attention of your eyes. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of...

The Kindness of God

Image
The king said, “Is there not yet anyone of the house of Saul to whom I may show the kindness of God?” And Ziba said to the king, “There is still a son of Jonathan who is crippled in both feet.” So the king said to him, “Where is he?” And Ziba said to the king, “Behold, he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel in Lo-debar.” — 2 Samuel 9:3-4 (NASB1995) King David sent and brought Mephibosheth from Lo-debar, and said to him, “Do not fear, for I will surely show kindness to you for the sake of your father Jonathan, and will restore to you all the land of your grandfather Saul; and you shall eat at my table regularly.” (See 2 Samuel 9:5,7) King David was a man after God's own heart. When the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, ...according to His mercy. (See Titus 3:4-5 NASB1995) Yahweh draws people out of dark, low places and crippling mindsets that prevent us from living life the way He designed for us to live. In Yeshua, we have received a...
