A Warning

The LORD has given me a strong warning not to think like everyone else does. He said, “Don’t call everything a conspiracy, like they do, and don’t live in dread of what frightens them. Make the LORD of Heaven’s Armies holy in your life. He is the one you should fear. He is the one who should make you tremble.” —Isaiah 8:11-13 (NLT)

Children of God are not to think like people in the world think. Romans 12:2 (NASB1995) says: do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight! (Isaiah 5:20-21 NASB1995) “Look to God’s instructions and teachings! People who contradict his word are completely in the dark.” (Isaiah 8:20 NLT) The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.” (Isaiah 40:8 NLT) 

Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the LORD. —Psalms 119:1 (NLT)

Prepare Your Heart

For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach statutes and ordinances in Israel. — Ezra 7:10 (NKJV) May we prepare our hearts and set our minds to diligently read and study the Word of God. Then, apply it to our daily lives by actually doing what it says. Great peace have those who love the law of the LORD, and nothing causes them to stumble. (See Psalms 119:165 NKJV) As pressure and stress bear down on you, find joy in His commands. (See Psalms 119:143 NLT) Psalms 78:8 (NKJV) says, its a stubborn and rebellious generation, that did not set its heart aright, and whose spirit was not faithful to God. Blessed and favored by God are those who keep His testimonies, and who [consistently] seek Him and long for Him with all their heart. He Came to Save

God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him. — John 3:17 (TLV) The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.
