True Worship

But a time is coming and is already here when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit [from the heart, the inner self] and in truth; for the Father seeks such people to be His worshipers. God is spirit [the Source of life, yet invisible to mankind], and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:23-24 (AMP)

True worship is more than a song we sing, and it is not confined to a Sunday, or a specific location. For those who believe in Christ and receive Him as Savior and Lord, worship is to be a lifestyle. We are to walk in a manner worthy of the God who calls us into His own kingdom and glory. (See 1 Thessalonians 2:12) Worship happens as we recognize and acknowledge that Yahweh is the only true and living God, that He is the great “I AM,” full of power and glory. In worship, we humble ourselves and surrender our will for Yahweh’s purpose and plans. True worship comes from the heart, not any external religious demands or requirements.

Our heavenly Father wants to have a personal, intimate relationship with each one of His children. Present your body as a living and holy sacrifice to Yahweh. (See Romans 12:1) Open your heart to Him. Give Him your mind, by renewing it with the Word of God. Give Him your mouth, to speak truth and life. Tune your ears to hear His still small voice. And may your feet always follow the path He shows you. Worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh... (See Philippians 3:3 NKJV)
