No Wavering

Image
Then Elijah stood in front of them and said, “How much longer will you waver, hobbling between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him! But if Baal is God, then follow him!” But the people were completely silent. — 1 Kings 18:21 (NLT) Let us not waver between two opinions, trying to have one foot in the world, and one foot in the Kingdom of God. Don't be silent. Make a decision today. Believe in God, believe also in Jesus. (See John 14:1) In Matthew 12:30 (NASB), Jesus said: “The one who is not with Me is against Me; and the one who does not gather with Me scatters.” James 1:6 (NLT) says, when you ask God (for wisdom), be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. James adds: Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do. (James 1:7-8 NLT)  Abraha

Delight in the LORD

Image
Now the LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the former ways of his father David; he did not seek the Baals, but sought the God of his father, and walked in His commandments and not according to the acts of Israel. — 2 Chronicles 17:3-4 (NKJV) Second Chronicles 17:6 says: Jehoshaphat’s heart took delight in the ways of the LORD; moreover he removed the high places and wooden images from Judah. He had the Levites and the priests go throughout all the cities of Judah, with the Book of the Law of the LORD and they taught the people. (See 2 Chronicles 17:7-9) Yahweh is faithful to His Word, and He greatly blessed Jehoshaphat. Yahweh established the kingdom in his hand, and all Judah brought presents to Jehoshaphat, and he had great riches and honor. (See 2 Chronicles 17:5 LSB) And the fear of the LORD fell on all the kingdoms of the lands that were around Judah, so that they did not make war against Jehoshaphat. (2 Chronicles 17:10 NKJV)  Delight yourself also in the LORD, and i

Seek & Rely on Yahweh

Image
Thus the children of Israel were subdued at that time; and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied on the LORD God of their fathers.  — 2 Chronicles 13:18 (NKJV) King Abijah and the children of Judah conquered Israel because they relied on the LORD, the God of their fathers. In 2 Chronicles 13:10, Abijah said: “But as for us, Yahweh is our God, and we have not forsaken Him…” After Abijah, Asa his son reigned in his place and he did what was good and right in the sight of Yahweh his God… (See 2 Chronicles 14:1-2) In 2 Chronicles 14:7, King Asa said to Judah, “Let us build these cities and make walls around them, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us, because we have sought the LORD our God; we have sought Him, and He has given us rest on every side.” So they built and prospered. May we always seek the LORD and rely on Him. “For the eyes of Yahweh move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is wholly devoted to H

The Way, The Truth & The Life

Image
Yeshua said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life! No one comes to the Father except through Me. — John 14:6 (TLV) When you don’t know what to do, just keep following Yeshua. He is the only way to truth and life. Grace and truth came through Yeshua the Messiah. (See John 1:17 TLV) In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. (John 1:4 NKJV) He gives life to the world. (See John 6:33) In John 8:12 (TLV), Yeshua said: “I am the light of the world. The one who follows Me will no longer walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” (John 3:36 NKJV) He is the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Him, though he may die, he shall live. (See John 11:25 NKJV)

He is the Same

Image
Yeshua the Messiah is the same yesterday, today, and forever. — Hebrews 13:8 (TLV) In Luke 4:18-19 (NKJV), Yeshua says: “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.” Yeshua is compassionate and still brings healing and wholeness into our lives. He came that we may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. (See John 10:10b AMP) In  John 8:31-33 (TLV), Yeshua said: “If you abide in My word, then you are truly My disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free!” Abide in His Word and live free. It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1 NASB1995)

Trust God

Image
For we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, of our trouble which came to us in Asia: that we were burdened beyond measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life. Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead, — 2 Corinthians 1:8-9 (NKJV) In the midst of trouble and any affliction, may we learn to trust in God. He will keep you in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Him, because you trust in Yahweh. (See Isaiah 26:3 NKJV) “Every word of God is tested and refined [like silver]; He is a shield to those who trust and take refuge in Him.” (Proverbs 30:5 AMP) Trust in God. The storms will come and go but our mighty God is forever.

Guard & Guide Your Heart

Image
So above all, guard the affections of your heart, for they affect all that you are. Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being, for from there flows the wellspring of life. — Proverbs 4:23 (TPT) Never consort with the enemy of our souls. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; (See John 10:10a) In the garden of Eden, Eve engaged in conversation with the serpent, listened to his lies, and began to question the word of God and His intentions. (See Genesis 3:1-6) Don't let your heart be deceived. First Kings 11:1-4 tells us how King Solomon loved and married many foreign women and eventually his wives turned his heart after other gods. Let us set the affections of our hearts on Yahweh and guide our hearts in His ways. When all has been heard, the end of the matter is: fear God [worship Him with awe-filled reverence, knowing that He is almighty God] and keep His commandments, for this applies to every person. — Ecclesiastes 12:13 (AMP)

Hope in His Lovingkindness

Image
Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning; For I trust in You; Teach me the way in which I should walk; For to You I lift up my soul. — Psalms 143:8 (NASB1995) In His lovingkindness, the LORD wakes us up each morning. May we have ears to hear the still small voice of Yahweh, as He leads us and guides us along on the best pathway for our lives. He will advise you and watch over you. (See Psalms 32:8 NLT) Yahweh’s tender mercies have no end, and the kindness of his endless love is never exhausted. New, fresh mercies greet me with every sunrise. So wonderfully great is your faithfulness! I tell my soul, “Yahweh is my abundant portion. I need nothing more. So, I will put all my hope in him.” (Lamentations 3:22-24 TPT) I will rejoice and be glad in Your lovingkindness, because You have seen my affliction;
 You have known the troubles of my soul, and You have not given me over into the hand of the enemy; You have set my feet in a large place. (Psalms 31:7-8 NASB1995) Surely goodness an

There is a Season

Image
To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die;
 A time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal;
 A time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
 A time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to gain, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to throw away; A time to tear, and a time to sew; A time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate;
 A time of war, and a time of peace. — Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (NKJV) Each season has its proper time and serves a purpose. We can learn from each season we encounter. One season may serve to prepare our hearts to receive the Word of God. While another season will allow The Word to be planted in good soil. Another season may serve to remove any weeds, or roots of bitt

Abide in Him

Image
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.” — John 15:4-5 (NASB1995) Yeshua is the true vine, and His Father is the vinedresser. (See John 15:1) In John 15:2 (TPT), Yeshua says: “He cares for the branches connected to me by lifting and propping up the fruitless branches and pruning every fruitful branch to yield a greater harvest.” Yahweh takes care of the branches, that are connected to the vine. Our part is to stay connected to Yeshua. Then, we are able to live and bear good fruit in abundance. He is the source of life. In Him we live and move and have our being. (See Acts 17:28 NKJV) Apart from Him, we wither and die. Instead of conforming to the ways of this world, or blindly following the desires of our flesh, let us choose life and cling to Christ, our S

Love Your Enemies

Image
If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink; — Proverbs 25:21 (NASB1995) I think, our natural inclination, in the flesh, is to withhold good from those who have done us wrong. However, as followers of Yeshua, we are to take a a higher path, the path of unconditional love. Love suffers long and is kind. Love does not take into account a wrong suffered. (See 1 Corinthians 13:4-5) In Matthew 5:43-45 (NASB1995), Yeshua says: “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” Our Heavenly Father is love, may we continually walk in His love and share it with all who come our way.

He is With You

Image
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. — Psalm 23:4 (NASB1995) Even in the darkest valley, King David said he would fear no evil because God was with him. The Almighty, all-sufficient, God is with us today. Take a moment to reflect on that powerful fact. The One Who made heaven and earth, and set the sun, moon and stars in place, is with each one of us. The One Who gives sight to the blind and unplugs the ears of the deaf, is with us. Nothing is too difficult for Him. He was with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, in the midst of the fiery furnace, and the fire had no effect on their bodies. Not a hair on their heads was singed, and their clothing was not scorched. They didn’t even smell of smoke! Not only was God with them, He also set them free. They were bound when thrown in, but when the king saw them, they were loose. (See Daniel 3:23-27) Cling to Yahweh and keep walking. He will

Above All

Image
Kings of the earth and all peoples; Princes and all judges of the earth; Both choice men as well as virgins; the old with the young. Let them praise the name of Yahweh, for His name alone is set on high; His splendor is above earth and heaven. — Psalms 148:11-13 (LSB) No matter what your title, position or lot in life, I believe the Scripture above includes you. May we all give honor, and praise the God Most High. Be still, and know that He is God, the great “I AM”. He will be exalted among the nations, He will be exalted in the earth! God Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things. (See Acts 17:25 NASB1995) Praise Yah! Praise Yahweh, O my soul! I will praise Yahweh throughout my life; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. (Psalm 146:1-2 LSB) …joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the LORD their God. He made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He keeps every promise forever. (Psalms 146:5-6 NLT)

No Favoritism

Image
Opening his mouth, Peter said: “Most certainly I understand now that God is not one to show partiality [to people as though Gentiles were excluded from God’s blessing],” — Acts 10:34 (AMP) Yahweh shows no favoritism. The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9 NASB1995) For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16 NKJV) Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, (Acts 3:19 NKJV) “O LORD, the God of Israel, there is no god like You in heaven or on earth, keeping covenant and showing lovingkindness to Your servants who walk before You with all their heart; You alone know the hearts of the sons of men. May all the peoples of the earth know Your name, and fear You as do Y

Be Thankful

Image
Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, let us make a loud shout to Him with songs of praise. For Yahweh is a great God and a great King above all gods, — Psalms 95:2-3 (LSB) Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. (Psalms 136:1 NLT) Be thankful that we have the honor and privilege to come boldly to the throne of our gracious God, where we receive His mercy, and find grace to help us when we need it most. (See Hebrews 4:16) May we do so with a humble and grateful heart. Yahweh is a faithful Father and His ear is always open to hear the voice of His children. First Thessalonians 5:18 (AMP) says: in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (See 1 Corinthians 15:57 NKJV) “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, thanksgiving and honor and power and might,
 be to o

Don't Worry

Image
Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. — Philippians 4:6 (AMP) When tempted to worry, turn your concerns over to God in prayer. Philippians 4:4 (AMP) tells us to: Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, take pleasure in Him]; again I will say, rejoice! The Passion Translation says: “Be cheerful with joyous celebration in every season of life . Let your joy overflow!” (Philippians 4:4 TPT) May we find joy in the Lord, even during the difficult seasons. We can rejoice at all times, as we continually cast our cares on the Lord and trust Him to handle all that concerns us.

Bless You

Image
Yahweh bless you, and keep you; Yahweh make His face shine on you, and be gracious to you; Yahweh lift up His face on you, and give you peace.’ — Numbers 6:24-26 (LSB) In Luke 1:28 (NKJV), the angel Gabriel said to Mary: “ Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women! ” Today, we are abundantly blessed because the LORD is with us and promises never to leave us nor forsake us. Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! (Psalms 34:8 NKJV) Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. (1 Timothy 6:17 NASB1995) How blessed is everyone who fears Yahweh, who walks in His ways. (Psalms 128:1 LSB) He daily loads us with benefits. (See Psalms 68:19 NKJV) He will bless those who fear the LORD, both small and great. May the LORD give you increase more and more, you and your children. May you be

Our Hiding Place

Image
You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah. — Psalm 32:7 (NASB1995) Yahweh is our hiding place. Therefore, let all the godly pray to Him while there is still time, that they may not drown in the floodwaters of judgment. (See Psalm 32:6) The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” …unfailing love surrounds those who trust the LORD. Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous [who actively seek right standing with Him]; Shout for joy, all you upright in heart. (See Psalms 32:8, 10-11) “The LORD your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” — Zephaniah 3:17 (NKJV)

We Are Surrounded

Image
Those who trust in Yahweh are as Mount Zion, which will not be shaken but will abide forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so Yahweh surrounds His people from now until forever. — Psalms 125:1-2 (LSB) In 2 Kings 6:10-16, the king of Aram sent horses and chariots and a great army to Dothan, where Elisha, the prophet was. They came by night and surrounded the city. Now when the attendant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was circling the city. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” Elisha answered: “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” When it seems the enemy has us surrounded, let us remember, our God is greater than he who is in the world, and Yeshua has already overcome the world. Little children (believers, dear ones), you are of God and you belong to Him and have [already] overcome them [the agents of the antichrist]; because He who is in you is greate

Pay Attention

Image
He who gives attention to the word will find good, and blessed is he who trusts in the LORD. — Proverbs 16:20 (NASB1995) Every word of God proves true. (See Proverbs 30:5 NLT) Let us regularly turn our attention to the Word of God, and let it renew our minds from the programming of this world. For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. (Hebrews 4:12 NLT) Don’t just listen to the Word, heed what it says. James 1:22 (AMP) says: But prove yourselves doers of the word [actively and continually obeying God’s precepts], and not merely listeners [who hear the word but fail to internalize its meaning], deluding yourselves [by unsound reasoning contrary to the truth]. In John 8:31 (AMP), Yeshua says:  “ If you abide in My word [continually obeying My teachings and living in accordance with them, then] you are truly My disciples. ”

He Directs Our Steps

Image
A man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life], but the LORD directs his steps and establishes them.  — Proverbs 16:9 (AMP) We can make our plans, but we still need to seek God's will in all that we do. And He will show us the right path to take, the one that leads to life and peace. “For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the LORD, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11 AMP) Let us humble ourselves under the mighty hand of Yahweh, and be led by His Holy Spirit, Who is our Helper. In spite of the challenges we face, we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (See Romans 8:28)

Watch Your Words

Image
Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone. — Colossians 4:6 (NLT) Let us speak good and encouraging words to others and in our self-talk. For the Scriptures say, “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies.” (1 Peter 3:10 NLT) Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, but a good word makes it glad. (Proverbs 12:25 NASB1995) Proverbs 12:14a, says: A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his words. And Proverbs 12:18b says, the tongue of the wise brings healing. To speak good, true, and encouraging words, speak the Word of God, for He has magnified His word above all His name. (See Psalms 138:2 NKJV) And the word of the LORD endures forever. (See 1 Peter 1:25) Amen. Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose. — Proverbs 18:21 (MSG)

Just Passing Through

Image
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you. For I am Yahweh your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior…” — Isaiah 43:2-3 (LSB) Remember that whatever challenges, troubles, or trials you encounter on life’s journey, they shall also come to pass. Yahweh is faithful to be with you and to bring you through it all. He will lift you out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He will set your feet on solid ground and steady you as you walk along. (See Psalms 40:2 NLT) Even when you walk through the darkest valley, do not be afraid, for He is close beside you. His rod and His staff will protect and comfort you. (See Psalms 23:4 NLT) Yahweh will help you over the hurdles and give you the strength to press on, in any and every situation.

Guard Your Heart

Image
Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. — Proverbs 4:23 (NLT) Keep your heart from being polluted with evil intentions or selfish desires. Second Chronicles 12:14 (NKJV) says, King Rehoboam did evil, because he did not prepare his heart to seek the LORD. May we prepare our hearts to seek Yahweh and His will. Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience... (See Hebrews 10:22) Proverbs 3:3 (NASB1995) says: Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Colossians 3:15 instructs us to let the peace of God rule in our hearts. Above all else, set the affections of your heart on King Yeshua, and follow Him all the days of your life.  You too, be patient; strengthen your hearts [keep them energized and firmly committed to God], because the coming of the Lord is near. — James 5:8 (AMP)

Fix Your Gaze

Image
So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. — 2 Corinthians 4:18 (NLT) Let us look away from all that will distract us and focus our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith. For the joy that was set before Him, He endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (See Hebrews 12:2 AMP/NKJV)  For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. (1 John 2:16NASB) May your eyes be continually toward the Lord. To You I have raised my eyes, You who are enthroned in the heavens! — Psalm 123:1 (NASB)

Never Give Up

Image
We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed . — 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NLT) Therefore we do not become discouraged, disappointed, nor afraid. For even though our outer person gradually wears out, our inner being is renewed every single day. Let us view our slight, short-lived troubles in the light of eternity. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! (See 2 Corinthians 4:16-17 AMP/TPT/NLT) Never give up. Though we walk in the midst of trouble, the LORD will revive us. ...thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57 NASB)
