He Directs Our Steps

A man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life], but the LORD directs his steps and establishes them. —Proverbs 16:9 (AMP)

We can make our plans, but we still need to seek God's will in all that we do. And He will show us the right path to take, the one that leads to life and peace. “For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the LORD, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11 AMP) Let us humble ourselves under the mighty hand of Yahweh, and be led by His Holy Spirit, Who is our Helper. In spite of the challenges we face, we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (See Romans 8:28)

Be Fruitful

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. — Galatians 5:22-23 (NASB1995) As disciples of Christ, we have been chosen and appointed to go and bear fruit, lasting fruit. (See John:15:16) The Amplified Bible points out that bearing the fruit of the Spirit, is the result of His presence within us. (See Galatians 5:22 AMP) In John 15:4 (NLT), Jesus said: “Remain in me, and I will remain in you.
