Seek & Rely on Yahweh

Thus the children of Israel were subdued at that time; and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied on the LORD God of their fathers. —2 Chronicles 13:18 (NKJV)

King Abijah and the children of Judah conquered Israel because they relied on the LORD, the God of their fathers. In 2 Chronicles 13:10, Abijah said: “But as for us, Yahweh is our God, and we have not forsaken Him…” After Abijah, Asa his son reigned in his place and he did what was good and right in the sight of Yahweh his God… (See 2 Chronicles 14:1-2) In 2 Chronicles 14:7, King Asa said to Judah, “Let us build these cities and make walls around them, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us, because we have sought the LORD our God; we have sought Him, and He has given us rest on every side.” So they built and prospered.

May we always seek the LORD and rely on Him. “For the eyes of Yahweh move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is wholly devoted to Him. (See 2 Chronicles 16:9a LSB)

Our Stability

Yahweh is exalted, for He dwells on high; He has filled Zion with justice and righteousness. The state of this world is constantly changing and full of turmoil and conflict. Yahweh is the stability of our times, and He does not change. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken. (Psalms 62:2 NLT) Trust in Yahweh forever, for in Yah— Yahweh Himself— we have an everlasting Rock. We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us.
