Consider Him

Just consider and meditate on Him who endured from sinners such bitter hostility against Himself [consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. —Hebrews 11:3 (AMP)

Consider: think carefully about our Savior. Look attentively unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. For the joy that was set before Him, He endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (See Hebrews 11:2 NKJV) When we consider all He did for us, our trials pale in comparison. Surely our griefs He Himself bore, and our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed. (Isaiah 53:4-5 NASB1995) Like those in the church of Ephesus, persevere, have patience, and labor for His name’s sake and do not become weary. (See Revelation 2:1-3 NKJV)

Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. —Galatians 6:9 (NASB1995)

Then I said to them, “You see the bad situation we are in, that Jerusalem is desolate and its gates burned by fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem so that we will no longer be a reproach.” I told them how the hand of my God had been favorable to me and also about the king’s words which he had spoken to me. Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, take pleasure in Him]; again I will say, rejoice! — Philippians 4:4 (AMP) James 1:2-4 (NLT) says: “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” Our joy is not to be based on the fluctuating circumstances of our lives. We experience fullness of joy in the Presence of Yahweh and He is always with us. No matter what season of life you are going through, have continual and contagious joy. Let your joy overflow and spill out onto those around you.
