It's Not Yours

Then a certain prophet came to see King Ahab of Israel and told him, “This is what the LORD says: Do you see all these enemy forces? Today I will hand them all over to you. Then you will know that I am the LORD.” —1 Kings 20:13 (NLT)

Who is the King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. (Psalms 24:8 NASB1995) In First Samuel 17:47 (NASB1995), David says: “…that all this assembly may know that the LORD does not deliver by sword or by spear; for the battle is the LORD’s and He will give you into our hands.” In 2 Chronicles 20:15 (NASB1995), the LORD said to His people, “Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God’s.” Yahweh does not change, He is faithful to deliver His people. Whatever battles you are facing today, know that the battle belongs to God. It is not yours. With our enemies is only an arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles.” (See 2 Chronicles 32:8 NASB1995) It is as Moses said to the people in Exodus 14:13, “Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the LORD which He will accomplish for you...” Stand strong in faith and trust God to work everything out that concerns you.

The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but victory belongs to the LORD. —Proverbs 21:31 (NASB1995)
