Take Refuge
Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious and merciful to me, for my soul finds shelter and safety in You, and in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge and be confidently secure until destruction passes by. —Psalms 57:1 (AMP)
In the midst of calamity, cry out to God Most High, to God who accomplishes all things for you. He will send from heaven and save you; He reproaches those who trample upon you. Selah. God will send His lovingkindness and His truth. (See Psalms 57:2-3) You need not be afraid of sudden disaster or the destruction that comes upon the wicked, for the LORD is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap. (Proverbs 3:25-26 NLT)
As for God, His way is blameless; The word of Yahweh is tried; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. For who is God, but Yahweh? And who is a rock, but our God? (2 Samuel 22:31-32 LSB) And if God is for us, who can ever be against us? For He blesses the righteous man, and surrounds him with favor as with a shield. (See Psalms 5:12 NASB1995)
