Don't be Surprised
Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal which is taking place to test you [that is, to test the quality of your faith], as though something strange or unusual were happening to you. —1 Peter 4:12 (AMP)Romans 8:37 (NKJV) says: Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Since we are conquerors, we have to go through some things in order to overcome them. Though we experience every kind of pressure, we’re not crushed. At times we don’t know what to do, but quitting is not an option. (2 Corinthians 4:8 TPT) So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, (2 Corinthians 4:16-17 ESV) After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace [who imparts His blessing and favor], who called you to His own eternal glory in Christ, will Himself complete, confirm, strengthen, and establish you [making you what you ought to be]. (1 Peter 5:10 AMP)
