Focus Your Eyes

Therefore, since we have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also get rid of every weight and entangling sin. Let us run with endurance the race set before us, focusing on Yeshua, the initiator and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame; and He has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of God. —Hebrews 12:1-2 (TLV)

Too often we get focused on the problem, instead of the answer to all of our problems, our Savior. Hebrews 12:2 (AMP) tells us to look away from all that will distract us and focus our eyes on Jesus. With the myriad of distractions around us, we have to be intentional about keeping our eyes on Yeshua, the author and finisher of our faith. Instead of focusing on social media or what others say about you, focus on what God, your Creator, says about you. He knows you better than anyone. Fix your eyes on Yeshua, and run the race set before you with passion and persistence. The Lord will empower you to jump over the hurdles and continue your course.

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. —Romans 8:28 (NASB1995)

Arise & Build

Then I said to them, “You see the bad situation we are in, that Jerusalem is desolate and its gates burned by fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem so that we will no longer be a reproach.” I told them how the hand of my God had been favorable to me and also about the king’s words which he had spoken to me. Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, take pleasure in Him]; again I will say, rejoice! — Philippians 4:4 (AMP) James 1:2-4 (NLT) says: “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” Our joy is not to be based on the fluctuating circumstances of our lives. We experience fullness of joy in the Presence of Yahweh and He is always with us. No matter what season of life you are going through, have continual and contagious joy. Let your joy overflow and spill out onto those around you.
