Call Upon His Name
And Abraham planted a tamarisk tree at Beersheba, and there he called upon the name of Yahweh, the Everlasting God. —Genesis 21:33 (LSB)
In Genesis 21:22 (NLT), Abimelech said to Abraham, “God is obviously with you, helping you in everything you do.” When believers continually walk with God and wholeheartedly call upon His name, it is obvious to even those who do not believe that Yahweh is with them. May we worship El Olam, the Everlasting God and call upon His name. But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6 NKJV) When you call expect an answer, and trust that He is able and willing to help in time of need.
God’s blessings follow you and await you at every turn: when you don’t follow the advice of those who delight in wicked schemes, when you avoid sin’s highway, when judgment and sarcasm beckon you, but you refuse. (Psalms 1:1 VOICE) For ever since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through His workmanship [all His creation, the wonderful things that He has made], so that they [who fail to believe and trust in Him] are without excuse and without defense. (Romans 1:20 AMP)
