More Than Enough
Then God said, “I am El-Shaddai—‘God Almighty.’ Be fruitful and multiply. You will become a great nation, even many nations. Kings will be among your descendants! —Genesis 35:11 (NLT)
Yahweh is God Almighty (Hebrew: El Shaddai). He is all-sufficient, all-bountiful, and all-powerful, the source of all our blessings. He is a God of abundance. In Genesis 36:6-7, Esau took his entire household, along with his livestock and cattle—all the wealth he had acquired in the land of Canaan—and moved away from his brother, Jacob. There was not enough land to support them both because of all the livestock and possessions they had acquired. God not only blessed Jacob, but Esau as well. El Shaddai is the One who takes care of us. Nothing is too difficult for Him to handle.
Lord, You have been our dwelling place [our refuge, our sanctuary, our stability] in all generations. Before the mountains were born or before You had given birth to the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are [the eternal] God. —Psalms 90:1-2 (AMP)
