Our Burden Bearer

Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, the God who is our salvation. Selah. —Psalms 68:19 (LSB)

In 2 Corinthians 1:8-9, the apostle Paul says, they were burdened excessively, beyond their strength, so that they despaired even to live, but he says they learned not to trust in themselves, but in God who raises the dead. Are you weighed down with heavy burdens or overwhelmed by troubles? Cast your burden upon Yahweh and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken. (Psalms 55:22 LSB) We can trust Him in any and all situations and circumstances.

The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. —Psalms 34:17-18 (LSB)

Then, apply it to our daily lives by actually doing what it says. Great peace have those who love the law of the LORD, and nothing causes them to stumble. (See Psalms 119:143 NLT) Psalms 78:8 (NKJV) says, its a stubborn and rebellious generation, that did not set its heart aright, and whose spirit was not faithful to God. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” Our joy is not to be based on the fluctuating circumstances of our lives. We experience fullness of joy in the Presence of Yahweh and He is always with us. No matter what season of life you are going through, have continual and contagious joy. Let your joy overflow and spill out onto those around you.
