Call on His Name

And God said to Moses, “I am Yahweh—‘the LORD.’ I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as El-Shaddai—‘God Almighty’—but I did not reveal my name, Yahweh, to them.” —Exodus 6:2-3 (NLT)

He who made the Pleiades and Orion and overturns the shadow of death into morning, Who also darkens day into night, Who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out on the surface of the earth, Yahweh is His name. (Amos 5:8 LSB) The One who builds His upper chambers in the heavens and has founded His vaulted dome over the earth; The One who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out on the face of the earth; Yahweh is His name.  (Amos 9:6 LSB)

Exalt Yahweh our God and worship at the footstool of His feet; Holy is He. Moses and Aaron were among His priests, and Samuel was among those who called on His name; They would call upon Yahweh and He would answer them. (Psalms 99:5-6 LSB) Oh give thanks to Yahweh, call upon His name; Make known His acts among the peoples. (1 Chronicles 16:8 LSB) And it will be that everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.’(Acts 2:21 LSB)

The name of Yahweh is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is set securely on high. —Proverbs 18:10 (LSB)

Then, apply it to our daily lives by actually doing what it says. Great peace have those who love the law of the LORD, and nothing causes them to stumble. (See Psalms 119:165 NKJV) As pressure and stress bear down on you, find joy in His commands. (See Psalms 119:143 NLT) Psalms 78:8 (NKJV) says, its a stubborn and rebellious generation, that did not set its heart aright, and whose spirit was not faithful to God. Blessed and favored by God are those who keep His testimonies, and who [consistently] seek Him and long for Him with all their heart. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” Our joy is not to be based on the fluctuating circumstances of our lives. We experience fullness of joy in the Presence of Yahweh and He is always with us. No matter what season of life you are going through, have continual and contagious joy. Let your joy overflow and spill out onto those around you.
