Seek Wholeheartedly

In this way, King Hezekiah handled the distribution throughout all Judah, doing what was pleasing and good in the sight of the LORD his God. In all that he did in the service of the Temple of God and in his efforts to follow God’s laws and commands, Hezekiah sought his God wholeheartedly. As a result, he was very successful. —2 Chronicles 31:20-21 (NLT)

Joshua 1:8 (NKJV) says: This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. King Hezekiah experienced this Scripture. Let us do what is pleasing and good in the sight of Yahweh. Wisdom brings success, and the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. (See Ecclesiastes 10:10 & Proverbs 9:10 NKJV) May we have a reverent fear of the LORD our God and wholeheartedly follow Him.

Patient Endurance

“ So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. ” — Hebrews 10:35-36 (NLT) Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. (Hebrews 10:23) Hebrews 10:37-38 (NLT)  says: “For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay. And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.” But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction.
