Keeping Watch

The eyes of the LORD are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good. —Proverbs 15:3 (NKJV)

The LORD looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. From the place of His dwelling He looks on all the inhabitants of the earth; (Psalms 33:13-14) He is El Roi, The-God-Who-Sees. (See Genesis 16:13) Even the darkness is not dark to Him, and the night is as bright as the day. (See Psalms 139:12) ...the LORD sees clearly what a man does, examining every path he takes. An evil man is held captive by his own sins; they are ropes that catch and hold him. (Proverbs 5:21-22 NLT) …the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His. (See 2 Chronicles 16:9 NASB1995) For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart. (See 1 Samuel 16:7) 

Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy, to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. (Psalms 33:18-19 NKJV) The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry. (Psalms 34:15) The LORD looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God. (Psalms 14:2 NLT) Be wise and seek God.

Prepare Your Heart

For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach statutes and ordinances in Israel. — Ezra 7:10 (NKJV) May we prepare our hearts and set our minds to diligently read and study the Word of God. Then, apply it to our daily lives by actually doing what it says. Great peace have those who love the law of the LORD, and nothing causes them to stumble. (See Psalms 119:165 NKJV) As pressure and stress bear down on you, find joy in His commands. (See Psalms 119:143 NLT) Psalms 78:8 (NKJV) says, its a stubborn and rebellious generation, that did not set its heart aright, and whose spirit was not faithful to God. Blessed and favored by God are those who keep His testimonies, and who [consistently] seek Him and long for Him with all their heart. (Psalms 119:2 AMP) Deal bountifully with Your servant, that I may live and keep Your word. With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, take pleasure in Him]; again I will say, rejoice! — Philippians 4:4 (AMP) James 1:2-4 (NLT) says: “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” Our joy is not to be based on the fluctuating circumstances of our lives. We experience fullness of joy in the Presence of Yahweh and He is always with us. No matter what season of life you are going through, have continual and contagious joy. Let your joy overflow and spill out onto those around you.
