Chosen & Called
The Lamb of God, and those with Him, will triumph and conquer all. Those with Him are chosen. Ephesians 1:4-5 (NLT) says: Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; (See 1 Peter 2:9 NKJV)
Those with Him are called. We are called to be saints. First Corinthians 1:2 (NKJV) says: To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours... Why are we called? First Corinthians 1:9 (NKJV) says: God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Galatians 5:13 (NKJV) says we have been called to liberty. Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1 NKJV) God chose us and called us. Our part is to be loyal and faithful followers. Amen.
