Be Aware

And she said, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” And he awoke from his sleep and said, “I will go out as at other times and shake myself free.” But he did not know that Yahweh had left him. —Judges 16:20 (LSB)

Samson did not realize that Yahweh had left him. What a sad situation. After being lulled to sleep with his head in the lap of Delilah, and having the seven locks of his hair shaved off, Delilah began to bring him down, and his strength left him. (See Judges 16:19) Today, we have the Holy Spirit of God dwelling inside of us and He promises to never leave us or forsake us. In Matthew 28:20 (NKJV), Yeshua says: “…and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Intentionally set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD our God. Seek Him, and you will find Him when you search for Him with all your heart. (See Jeremiah 29:13 NASB1995) Don’t let the things of this world, distract you and draw you away from Yahweh. Remain alert and aware of Satan and his devices.

For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach statutes and ordinances in Israel. — Ezra 7:10 (NKJV) May we prepare our hearts and set our minds to diligently read and study the Word of God. Then, apply it to our daily lives by actually doing what it says. Great peace have those who love the law of the LORD, and nothing causes them to stumble. (See Psalms 119:165 NKJV) As pressure and stress bear down on you, find joy in His commands. (See Psalms 119:143 NLT) Psalms 78:8 (NKJV) says, its a stubborn and rebellious generation, that did not set its heart aright, and whose spirit was not faithful to God. Blessed and favored by God are those who keep His testimonies, and who [consistently] seek Him and long for Him with all their heart. Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, take pleasure in Him]; again I will say, rejoice! — Philippians 4:4 (AMP) James 1:2-4 (NLT) says: “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” Our joy is not to be based on the fluctuating circumstances of our lives. We experience fullness of joy in the Presence of Yahweh and He is always with us. No matter what season of life you are going through, have continual and contagious joy. Let your joy overflow and spill out onto those around you.
