Come

“Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and delight yourself in abundance. Incline your ear and come to Me. Listen, that you may live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you, according to the faithful mercies shown to David.” —Isaiah 55:2-3 (NASB1995)

Yahweh is continually calling us to come to Him. How are we to come? Humbly, with an open heart, ready to let His unfailing love wash away anything that is not of Him - bitterness, unforgiveness, pride, selfishness, etc. Come with open hands, ready to receive all that He so generously gives. Come with an open, teachable mind so it can be renewed with the Word of God. Come with ears that are open to hear His still small voice. We may come wounded and broken but He heals and restores and makes us whole. “Seek Yahweh while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; And let him return to Yahweh, and He will have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.” (Isaiah 55:6 LSB)
